The new owners are making many improvements
I have been playing this course for the last ten years. It was getting run down. Two years ago it was sold and the new owners are making many improvements. The condition of the tee boxes, fairway grass, and greens has significantly been improved. Work has been done to improve fairway drainage. Most importantly, the sand traps now have sand.

Bad Course, Good guys
This course was brutal. Layout, price, clubhouse, greenskeep, and pace of play were all bad. Service was good though. Very friendly. If you need a place to play golf while you drink, this is the place.

Enjoyable round..Still continuing to improve the course
During my recent round the staff was hard at work continuing to improve the course. They were very active in getting the bunkers renewed with sand and drainage. The bunkers that were done were excellent. Pace of play was very good after we played through a two-some that was struggling quite a bit.

Staff was super friendly. I was a single and they put me with three great guys. Played 16 holes then the rain came. It was well worth the ride

Not worth it
$74 is way too expensive for what you get. Hole layouts are not that interesting: lots of back and forth holes without much changing besides trees, a few doglegs, and some water. Bunkers are being redone, but most are still full of rocks and weeds. The new sand looks good, but the bunkers that have it are uneven and thick. The sand is all not at all spread out and about a foot deep. Hole 17 features a power line 20 yards ahead of and 10 yards above the tee box. Basically you just have to smack it and hope you don't get unlucky and hit the linea. It's ridiculous. Hole 18 is probably the best hole, with a pretty approach shot over water to a shallow but long green.
We had an issue with the starter as well. My friend and I had a tee time for 8:56 on a Saturday morning, and went to the range to warm up. For some inexplicable reason the starter gave away our tee time, even though we had checked in at the pro shop at 8:25, so that when we got to the tee at 8:54 a group who had a 9:12 tee time had been let out and was in the fairway hitting approach shots already. They proceeded to play incredibly slowly, and we finished 9 holes in about 2:30. Not sure how the pro shop could justify such stupidity from the starter. But when I complained after 9 holes, the pro shop attendant merely promised to have a ranger get the group to speed up for the back 9.
Overall a regrettable experience, and I don't know if I would go back there even if they lowered the price to the $40 it's worth.
