Blackbrook golf course
Course is always in great shape. The staff is professional and courteous.
Greens are immaculate
Best shape I’ve ever seen the greens for this Bertie Way gem!
Well maintained and great value for your money
My tee time was at 6:50am. Tim greeted me bright and early and gave me the details of the course. I’ve played here before but it’s been a few years since. The course was in excellent shape, layout was great, greens were somewhat challenging but played true. I will definitely be back.
Great place for junior golf
I took my 3 year old grandson up to the practice range. When we walked into the clubhouse we were immediately greeted with a smile and given a brand new ball to put in his bag to use on the putting green. We took a cart out to the range which he loved and then shared a very nicely manicured area to hit balls. When we got back to the clubhouse, we shared a video I took of Myles hitting the ball with Tim the golf pro and he was very encouraging to Myles to keep practicing and come back and actually go out on the course with me. He also got an ice cream!
Really a first class practice center and run very well. We had a great morning!

Family Friendly Course
I’ve played Black Brook many times and always felt the course was well kept and the pace of play was never too slow. Today was different though. I brought my kids for the first time to use the range and putt on the putting greens. I can’t tell you great of an experience it was for them. The staff went over and beyond to make sure they had a good time. The kids got to ride in the golf cart to go back to the range and everyone was so welcoming when they were back there. If you haven’t been to the range here you need to go. It’s a grass range and I’m not sure how, but it’s extremely well kept. The kids had a blast and on the way out they were treated by the staff with some ice cream! We’ll be back for the free kids golf we learned about in the coming weeks! Thank you for a great experience Black Brook, this is the type of place I want my kids growing up playing it!
Great local course
Average and easy layout, great for beginners and walkers. Course has been in great shape over the past few years. Weekends can get busy so pace of play can be slow at times but overall, a very fun, forgiving course.
Blackbrook rocks
Solid public course! New ParAides that do occasionally even include club cleaner. Water too ever so often which was filled and a nice touch.
Greens are quick. Well kept. Not much water hazards. Bunkers are not super deep but they aren’t shallow and cheap either!
Nice little putting area near club house. Driving range is all grass and does require a short 1min cart ride. It rocks.
For a public course owned by the city it is awesome. Highly recommend.
Gets Better Each Time I Play
Really Enjoyed playing yesterday. Been here several times in the last few years.Tim and his staff really have the place on the top of its game. Looking forward to my next round.
First time back in 34 yrs
Very pleasantly pleased with condition of course fairways were very very good shape ,rough was a bit long but that's your punishment for landing there. Green looked fast but were actually a bit slow . Overall it was an excellent experience. Love the golf now membership discounts . Price was 16.99 Hot deal at 11:40 on Tuesday plus plus I used the $10.00 monthly credit so Played 18 holes with great driving smooth cart for .......$6.99 BAM! Can't beat that with a Stick!
Solid Pitch and Putt
This course is great for your beginner to average golfers. The holes are not too long, though a wayward shot can put you into some trouble and even have you digging for a ball to drop. Once you get off the fairway, some areas have some patchy grass and sticky lies, but that's why it's called the rough. The greens were tough to deal with. Not the reads or the pace, those were pretty true, but sticking the greens were difficult. If you landed on the green, you most certainly bounced off the back, and if you tried to run it on, the apron wasn't having any of that. Good value course that isn't flashy or tricky.
