Green Crest Golf Club is a player-friendly course located in Middletown. The course was designed in 1972, offering a traditional layout with wide, forgiving fairways and short roughs. Nice course, poor pace
Golf course staff made a mistake in tee times so a group of 2 in front of us turned n to a group of 8. Thus our tee off time was almost 30 minutes late. The golfers in front of us were not considerate in leaving greens quickly. They broke after nine and made us wait even longer to tee off on the back 9. It took us over 5 1/2 hours to play 18..The people we were paired with quit after 9 because they were frustrated with pace. When we communicated our experience to the staff they acted like they could care less. Nice course but would only play it again if no other option.

Course was great
Nice, and great condition. GolfNow. I will no longer use to book teetimes. Course was forgiving due to prepay and last second absence of two players. Golf now, they were not

Beautiful day for golf
The greens were very well taken care of and dry from the recent rain. It was a beautiful day so the PVW was slow around the noon tee time. That didn’t bother us, but can bother others.

Overbooked. Will not return
They had a tournament going this morning, yet still decided to book regular tee times right behind it. Pace of play was absolutely awful. 2 and 3 foursomes waiting to tee off at each hole on the front.

The greens were hard as a rock and the pace was very slow. It was a holiday weekend but this isn’t uncommon for this course. They were rolling people out right after their first tee shot - which caused a logjam later on. In some situations we waited 10 minutes to tee off.
Sadly, I will not be coming back. The bartender was the highlight of the experience. She was very friendly and generous with her pours.

Terrible Pace
5... hour... round. That's not slow; that's atrocious! Overbooked, poor management of play.
Course: tight fairways, constant invasion from neighboring holes. Greens overly long; you had to crank a putt to get it remotely close.

Slow play, some tee boxes, fairways a little rough. Good course to start your season. Friendly staff, decent value. Greens were in good shape, somewhat slow.

Good Golf
The course layout is pretty decent, definitely some challenging holes and plenty of opportunities for birdies and eagles. Not much of a rough, if you miss the fairway you’re in a line of trees that forces you to punch out and layup. The fairways aren’t in the best shape, very patchy and most lies will not give you a true fairway lie. Greens are small but roll good. Pin positions are usually tucked away and hard to attack. Tee boxes are good for the most part. Definitely wouldn’t pay weekend rates for this course but if you can find a deal, I’d recommend playing it.

Played before but things have changed
All fairways mud, weeds, and standard grass not trimmed.
No one fills divots but maybe because none of the riding carts carry sand

Shop guy was rude
I play here once every 4 years or so and yesterday was probably my last. The old guy in the proshop was rude and displeased that we were there to play golf. On it’s best day the course conditions are 3 stars. Every time we are there someone from the staff makes us feel unwelcomed.
