Green Crest Golf Club
About
Green Crest Golf Club is a player-friendly course located in Middletown. The course was designed in 1972, offering a traditional layout with wide, forgiving fairways and short roughs. The golf course is on the shorter side at 6,271 yards from the back tees, which is indicative of the time it was designed. Strategically placed bunkers lurk along the medium-sized greens on six holes and there are water hazards coming into play on eight holes, but the challenges are straightforward and don't present too much trouble for high handicappers. It might not be the golf course you're looking for if you want a truly formidable test, but it's a good option if you're looking for a quick and affordable round. Green Crest Golf Club is ideal for beginners and even gentle enough for juniors.

Good Course and a Great Value
Played the back 9 on this course. There are nice wide fairways here. The course plays somewhat firm so you will be challenged to hold shots tight. This course was a little crowded but the pace of play kept up rather well. I'd drfinitelybplay here again.
Great course if you want to spend six hours there
Course is amazing. Challenge narrow fairways and sloped greens.
Pace of play was awful. Don’t know how to improve on this matter.

Good challenge for shorter yardage course
Some challenging tree lined holes along with some shorter risk/reward holes. The greens also rolled very well. Overall a very good experience although I thought cart fees were kind of high compared to the greens fees.
Hi, u000001131360. We would love to hear more about your 4-star experience on our course. Please tell us what we can do to earn that last star, and thanks for golfing at Green Crest Golf Club!
Sloooooooooow
Some peeps don’t know what “ready golf” means. Tee times were backed up 30 min + so they sent off the back 9 and that was worse cuz the guys in front were the hold up by not playing ready golf. If Marshall was available it could have been solved.

Not worth the price
With the pandemic going on all other golf courses are making everyone use there own cart. Here at green crest they are not doing that in fact if you want to use separate carts they charge you more. Not good business I used a hot deal not knowing it didn’t include cart cause it was in fine print. And using hot deal and paying for cart was more than if I booked strait through golf course. Very upsettu

Hot Deal Rip Off
In all of the years that I have used golfnow, I have never had to pay for a cart. The carts are always included in the hotdeal price. Now that we have the pandemic, we can now charge you because, carts are limited or charge more because we are only riding one person. We didn’t make the rules, the governor of our state did. When I purchase a deal and pay for it all. That should be it. I was good with the course. The extra fees for riding in a cart that should have been included in the hotdeal, left a bad taste in my mouth.
Thank you for visiting us at Green Crest Golf Club. We appreciate your 4-star rating and review. We hope you join us for another round soon.
Course was in great condition!
Really pleased with today’s round. Course was in the best shape this year and staff was great as always. We got paired up with another two some which I don’t love but guys were super nice and made for a fun round. This has become my go to course.

I'll never go back
Prepaid on golfnow. We were notified that there may be a charge for carts. According to GolfNow it would be 7.50 a person if 2 riders and 15.00 if just kne rider on the cart. When we got to the course they told us is was 15.50 for each person now matter if it was one rider or 2. We played there due to the value. This took the cost from being 27 to 42. No longer a value. Then course was in terrible shape. Could not distinguish between rough and fairway in a lot of parts. When you could it was only bc the rough looked like it hadn't been mowed in weeks. The greens had dandelions and a potted ball would bounce across the green rather than roll. After paying we went to tee of on one only to have a guy storm out of the clubhouse and yell at us that we were supposed to start on 10...of course no one had told us. I have played this course before and none of this was my experience. I will never return so that I do not have this experience again.
Don’t play this course while the virus is going on. Your hot deal is only for walk, they will charge you an extra $25 for the cart. The guy at the counter said they are not making any money. That is a line of bull. Also the pace of play is very slow.
Hello, Kat4419. Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry to see that your overall experience was anything short of 5 stars, but we hope you'll give us another try in the near future.
Price Gouging

Careful before Prepaying!
Used a Hot Deals as I had several times here before and was informed at the Clubhouse Counter that the deal was for walking only and that if we wanted a cart would have to pay extra which basically doubled the cost of the round. The Clerk stated that they had changed their policy a couple of weeks ago but it still says " pice inlcudes "GreeFees, Cart, and Taxes" in the Golf Now description of the Course. It does have a "Walk" description oval on the Golf Now App but it's on the Checkout page. It's still a fun place to play under the right conditions and I don't know how much of this is Covid-19 related but it's difficult to recommend booking this place from Golf Now at this time.

Good track
Course was in good shape, way too many ball marks on the greens all over the place. Other than that... rates were pretty high I thought, especially for a hot deal.
Hi Jimmer2333. Thank you so much for the great review. We are glad you had an incredible time, and we hope to see you again soon! Thanks for choosing Green Crest Golf Club.
Bought the 8:00 am hot deal for two slots. 18 holes and a cart each.. When I arrived at the course he wanted me to ride with the person I was playing golf with which strictly violates the social distanceing mandate. When I told him we paid for two hot deals he still charged another 15 dollars for another cart. It’s a shame that they are taking advantage of this situation to make a buck. For the price I ended up paying I could have played a course 20 miles closer to my home. I won’t play there again.

I've played 4 courses under the new corona virus rules and this is the only one that charges for each player having their own cart . Not sure if that's in compliance with the state guidelines to keep courses open., but I believe everyone should have their own cart to maintain social distance. Greencrest just looked for a way to pry more money for solo carts when no one else seems to be.

Slow play, got hit into twice
The course is in good shape, except for people not fixing their ball marks. Courses are packed these days and play was slow as expected. We got hit into twice while on the green (from the tee) on 16 and 18. We waited on all shots because of the group ahead of us, so there was really no reason to be hit into with a driver. Twice.
Thank you for your review, u000001671574. We will pass along your positive experience to our team at Green Crest Golf Club. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
Overall above average course given Covid environment. Greens in good condition. Rest of course average but worth the price. Good course layout.
