Green Crest Golf Club is a player-friendly course located in Middletown. The course was designed in 1972, offering a traditional layout with wide, forgiving fairways and short roughs. Good for all levels
The course is a gem within the area. With many courses struggling to remain private, or even keep their doors open, it's good to have a thread of goodness. I find the course easy on some days, while other days I can't seem to avoid the fairway defining trees. If your hitting the ball reasonably straight in the range of 225, you will do well. If your tee shot advances beyond 250 yards, you will swear that the humps around the fairway edges are designed to punish you for the slightest hook or slice. You will certainly master the low branch defying shot when attempting to over power the modest course length. The greens are pretty good, which is the way I usually define the conditions of a course. Enjoy the demand for a crafty short game at greencrest.
Very disappointed
Green Crest promotes overbooking and the ranger could care less about speed of play. I will never play this course again. Such a shame .It is really a good course layout. I have played and enjoyed golf for over 55 years Worst experience I have ever had.

Greens are in great shape. Shoot for the pin, the greens are holding the ball great. Course is in really good condition.

Overpriced
Course was way overpriced for the conditions and layout. Very tight small course but the fairways were like a goat pasture. I wouldn't pay 40 bucks to play here

Fairways & Tees need TLC
Layout is fun and at times narrow. Fairways very disappointing - many bare spots and plenty of weeds everywhere. Tees had a lot of weeds. Greens and green areas in good shape.

Tougher than it looks
Enjoyed playing this course. We played from the blue tees and this adds quite a bit of yardage to your tee shots. It’s not a place for wayward drives
Next time I play this course I will leave my driver at home and probably play the white tees (there green tees here) almost all the fairways are tight
With parallel fairways for most of the holes with dense trees in between. The greens are very busy
With most of them sloped from center out and several undulating breaks. If you don’t bring your putting A Game, plan on 2-3 putting every hole unless you stick it close. It’s a challenging course
But a fun one. Will definitely play again.
It has been dry and the fairways were in rough shape. But tee boxes and greens were good.
Play this course smart and you should be able to come home with a good score.

Terrible
I used to like the course but it absolutely awful this time around the fairways were balding and covered with burnt grass the greens were half decent and that's about it.

Not worth the money
Course was in terrible condition. To charge $29 is a crime. Staff was nice but they course made the experience one to forget. Won’t be back anytime soon,

Slow play and brutal course conditions
I am not one to complain to often. The staff and ranger are really nice. We had a group in front of us 2.5 holes behind. Most fairways have little to no grass. If you play the ball down I’d suggest adjusting rules. I’d like to see the course continue to be maintained rather than being sold for real estate. The conditions make me think while the markets high they’ll sell. The putting green is relatively small and doesn’t reflect the courses greens. No driving range either.

Overall nice experience
Our tee time was 9am pace of play was nice for our group of 4. Course conditions would’ve been 5 stars except for hole 10 was in rough shape. Will play here again!

Slow play need rangers
The play was extremely slow. There were no rangers on course although there appeared to be a starter/ ranger, but he wasn’t doing anything.
A lot of hacks on the course.. and it was a mid day weekday tee time.
Maybe that’s when all the hacks come out ;(

Slowest golf ever
We realize it was a holiday weekend but the pace of play was unacceptably slow. The first three holes took an hour- sometimes three foursomes were waiting to tee off on the same hole. We kept thinking the pace would improve but it didn’t happen
The people working were very nice; just think the tee times were too close together and the ranger might have needed to address slow playing groups.
