Green Crest Golf Club
About
Green Crest Golf Club is a player-friendly course located in Middletown. The course was designed in 1972, offering a traditional layout with wide, forgiving fairways and short roughs. The golf course is on the shorter side at 6,271 yards from the back tees, which is indicative of the time it was designed. Strategically placed bunkers lurk along the medium-sized greens on six holes and there are water hazards coming into play on eight holes, but the challenges are straightforward and don't present too much trouble for high handicappers. It might not be the golf course you're looking for if you want a truly formidable test, but it's a good option if you're looking for a quick and affordable round. Green Crest Golf Club is ideal for beginners and even gentle enough for juniors.

Great course for the price!
This is a great course, love the layout and the challenging holes. Just a short drive from Dayton, Ohio. The staff is always friendly, and tries to make sure your round is great. I enjoy playing the course, and you can't beat the Hotdeal price on Golfnow.
Tough
The 116 slope from the blues is deceptive, this is more like a 125. Course was in good shape, has lots of things to think about on almost every shot. Good test of golf.
Doesn't get better for the $$
This course really has improved over the last 5 years. The fairways are well kept, greens are in good conditions. Rough is pretty consistent throughout the course. This course is challenging but fun. The only danger is that many fairways are tight to each other so keep your head on a swivel if you are playing in the afternoon.
If you hit a bad shot, you'll likely find your ball but will be penalized by trees or hazards. Not many better courses for the price in the area.
B. Nance
Very good although on the back 9 two slap pies were all of a sudden ahead of us they were never in front nobody was in front of us . Had to skip 2 holes to avoid very slow play!
Really
Hasn't rained here in several weeks but we have had a dusting of snow , but yet it was cart path only and the threats saying that was uncalled for. As for the course, you are allowed to clear leaves a new sweep the greens to. The leaves were ridiculous and the greens unplayable. I would not recommend this course. The last two times , I played it , wasn't worth it at all.
Bonus Round In December
Greencrest may be one of the most underrated courses in the Cincinnati area. The course has some easy holes but also some challenging holes. Overall it is in very good condition. The greens are relatively slow, but are consistent. The fairways are in terrific shape for this time of year. I understand that the course stays open year round - so if you catch a nice day try to sneak in a bonus round!
Good Golf Value
This course meets all the requirements for a fun round of golf. A challenging course design well maintained and serviced by very friendly staff. Unfortunately they did not select the other players in my foursome, I did; and that was the only aspect that took away from a totally great day. Never golf with people who throw their clubs, use profane language,
or drive their carts into water hazards!
Very nice course
This is a really nice little course. Some water hazards and a few bunkers can be troublesome but we enjoyed it a lot. Golfers who want a long 7000 yard course would likely be disappointed but we loved its shorter length. We were paired up with a nice, friendly couple.
greencrest
The course was in great shape,it had rained heavy the night before but the course drained well and we were off the paths.
Nice iron(s) play
This is a nice iron course with trees shaping fairways. Great $ value and close to my house.
Tight but fair
Course is in great shape.
Hit your targets and you can score.
Greens and layout are very fair,
Course is worth the greensfees.
Come to play with target golf in mind and you won't be disappointed!
improved perspective
I wanted to play course second time to see if I could improved my perspective on the course. Score was much better - opinion remains the same. Nice tree lined fairways, fun greens, slow pace of play on course. Good value course.
Nice hot deal course!
This is a nice wooded short course. Fun and fairways a must!
Worst experience in 8 years
I have golfed at GreenCrest several times per year for the last 7-8 years and this was by far the worst experience I have had. Usually, late July through August the course gets dried up so I expected this to be true again... It was worse than expected, the ground was harder than a diamond in an ice storm and the fairway grass was so tall that we lost balls every other drive, aside from those 2 things, the greens were extremely well taken care of and very fast to putt on. So you basically hit every shot out of the "rough" finally make it to the green and its PGA style, weird. On top of the terrible course conditions there was an amateur tournament going on which slowed the pace of play down by an hour. This wouldn't be a big deal to me if I hadn't called the course prior to booking to ask about outings and tournaments going on. I was told that there wasn't anything going on.... that was a lie. I got in and out of GreenCrest in 5 hours 13 mins. It usually takes me and 1 other golfer under 4 hours to make it through.
All I ask is that you please start taking better care of the fairways come late summer and that you tell people the truth about outings and tournaments.
Slow round but nice course.
Pace of play was extremely slow. Almost 6 hours to play 18. Course was in good condition. Holes are located pretty tight together so you hear Fore a lot. Good course but not really worth $40
Green Crest
A good value for the money
Course was well maintained and in good condition form late summer
Enjoy playing here as not too crowded and pace of play was. Excellent
Busy and slightly over priced
It has potential and I liked certain aspects - friendly staff, smooth greens, some interesting holes. Super crowded and the starter was a bit overwhelmed. With a tight layout, especially on the front it was a lot of waiting. Mostly friendly players and the back opened up a bit. I'd try it again but only at a lower price in an off prime time slot.
Inexpensive good time
Played there numerous times, and it has never looked or played this well. Had lots of rain in the weeks leading up to this, and the course was lush and in extremely awesome shape. Some other local courses should take note. Greens were firm, but fair. Fairways were in good shape. Rough was thick.
A good time was had for a great price. We will be back.
Give them a break, it was December in Cincinnati.
Every course should be cart path only in the winter, the grass cant recover from the weight of a cart when the grass is not actively growing.
