Green Crest Golf Club
About
Green Crest Golf Club is a player-friendly course located in Middletown. The course was designed in 1972, offering a traditional layout with wide, forgiving fairways and short roughs. The golf course is on the shorter side at 6,271 yards from the back tees, which is indicative of the time it was designed. Strategically placed bunkers lurk along the medium-sized greens on six holes and there are water hazards coming into play on eight holes, but the challenges are straightforward and don't present too much trouble for high handicappers. It might not be the golf course you're looking for if you want a truly formidable test, but it's a good option if you're looking for a quick and affordable round. Green Crest Golf Club is ideal for beginners and even gentle enough for juniors.

great course
great weather great course
Average + short course
Solid course with reasonable facilities. Not all that interesting and mostly flat. Enjoyable and great for playing with not much trouble although there is a significant amount of water that comes in play.
No one showed up to open clubhouse
I sat in my car for 30 minutes no one ever showed up so I was out of my hot deal money and lost my tee time. Very unprofessional
Enjoyable
Fun, tight course. Good deal for the money. Staff are easy going and friendly..
Nice Family owned course
Fairway wasn't in good shape, but the Green was very good.
Good Challenging course, would play again.
Expensive Course for Sub Par conditions
This was a nice course and fairly challenging, but the condition of some of the fairways was not good. There were large patches of dirt/mud right in the center of the fairway. I would expect a better kept course for the money I paid.
Challenging but set up to reward good shots.
Weekend round was a little slow. Golf ow booking was extremely affordable, I am sure I will play here again.
No longer a nice course
Used to love this course. No longer taken care of, bad fairways, some places rough in better condition, patchy greens, and unfriendly staff.
Booked after outing
There was an scramble outing scheduled just ahead of my tee time. This led to extremely slow play. A marshal helped this by letting us replay the front nine instead of playing the back nine (which stacked four groups deep at the 10th tee). It turned into a long day (about 5.5 hours).
Short but sweet
Front nine was relatively slow after about the 5th hole. Back nine was pretty quick and we paired up with the twosome that was ahead of us on the front. Overall, I think the course could be had, by hitting fairways, short iron to most holes. I played pretty badly but was still less than bogey golf round. You do need to stay out of the trees and water. (my problems).
decent course
holes are wide open and pace of play was really fast nobody before or after us. the course was in ok condition but the par 3s are simple besides the water par 3. great value when i payed $18 but wouldnt play here at their regular rates
Tuff for a shorter venue.
The course was in good shape. The greens were really good. Got off right on time.. We did have a slow group in front of us, they ended up about 2 holes behind.
Mother's Day
Got to the course and it wasn't busy at all. We played 18 holes in 4-1/2 hours. Took our time and had no one in front of us and no one pushing us. It was a great day. If you don't hit the ball in the fairway it is hard to find the ball because the grass is a little on the high side. I did choose to use GolfNow because I got a great rate however only 3 of us got to play as our 4th golfer was injured and we did not get a refund.
Frustrated golfer
A friend and I signed up to play 18 through Golf Now which we definitely got a good deal on the price, however it was way over booked. It was at least a 5-8 minute wait every hole before we could tee off. Not good especially when you are playing well. The course is a great course to play, but taking 5-6 hours to play 18 holes is a little much. We forfeited 5 holes before leaving.
Good Course with challenges
Play here often. This day was a beautiful afternoon, course was in ok shape but it had rained earlier in week and was extremely wet. Would like to see them do some work on the cart path in spots. Will be golfing here again this summer. Stay out of the tree line and if you find yourself in it just take your pill and punch out.
HORRIBLE
Will start this off by will never pay to play this course ever again....Way over booked supposed to tee off at 10:20 didn't tee off til almost 10:50 turned into 6 and a half hour round of golf with 4 groups in front of the people in front of us and about 8 groups right behind my group... Condition of course was horrible both times I have played "buddy of mine goes well your in the fairway" what fairway 6 inches of grass is their fairway outside the greens and tee boxes your playing out the rough all day..... I will say greens are pretty good shape but that's once you get there... No drainage system in place like plugging balls 10 yards from the green and not being able to locate your ball... like playing in 6 inches of grass in the middle of the fairway and 8 inches in the rough all day have a great round... like playing 6 and a half hour round of golf while waiting 5 mins between every hole this is got your name written all over it.... personally I wouldn't recommend this course to anyone only thing I would recommend is the bud light on tap but almost every course has that just pay the extra 5-10 bucks to play at a better course not even worth 10 bucks to play 18 here....
A wonderful gold day at Green Crest
A challenging course with several water holes. Have plenty of fresh balls for play.
A challenge for all levels
Beautiful condition. Provides a diverse set of challenges with several holes calling for carry over ponds.
If it weren't for the I-75 traffic noise this course would be a '10'.
Labor Day
Overall a good experience. A somewhatt challenging course but not overly hard. 2 long par 4's. coming in we knew it would be slow as it was a Holiday but it was very backed up on the back 9 due to slow play. It had rained so the greens were soft but in good shape.
