Green Crest Golf Club
About
Green Crest Golf Club is a player-friendly course located in Middletown. The course was designed in 1972, offering a traditional layout with wide, forgiving fairways and short roughs. The golf course is on the shorter side at 6,271 yards from the back tees, which is indicative of the time it was designed. Strategically placed bunkers lurk along the medium-sized greens on six holes and there are water hazards coming into play on eight holes, but the challenges are straightforward and don't present too much trouble for high handicappers. It might not be the golf course you're looking for if you want a truly formidable test, but it's a good option if you're looking for a quick and affordable round. Green Crest Golf Club is ideal for beginners and even gentle enough for juniors.

This course was well maintained
Well maintained course. Greens in tournament shape and putt true. Only complaint is no driving range or cart girl.
A friendly course
A very flat course, with challenges for the average weekend golfer.
Very puttable greens.
Good course for the price; it is a challenge but not unfair. I will return as a good time was had by all in our foursome.
Decent course
Having played here off and on for 28 years not much has changed with the course. My only complaint is people not fixing ball marks and divots. Maybe have the staff remind people to do so at check in.
This course is poorly managed. We were backed up severely with two foursomes ahead of us on some holes.
Old fashioned course.
Until this past weekend I hadn't played it in twenty-five years. It is not a long course excepting a couple of holes. Holes #3 and #11 are both long par fours and frankly; unreachable by guys who hit it as far, or more accurately, as short as I do. Number 4 has a long approach uphill. The greens are small, putting a premium on the accuracy of your approach, but they roll true. Walk-able if you are so inclined. I'll play it again if I can get a hot deal.
Very impressed...One of my new favorite courses
I was looking for a good deal, and was hoping for an OK golf course at a good price. I was happily surprised by Green Crest. The yardage on the card was not overly long from the mid tees (around 6,000 yards) and the online description said it was fairly flat. What I found was a course that had plenty of challenge, length and smallish greens that were in fantastic shape. I used every club in my bag and had plenty of opportunity to pull out the driver. There aren't an abundance of sand traps on the course, but the ones that are there definitely come into play. Even on holes without traps, the small greens required accurate approach shots. The tee boxes were in good shape and the fairways were cut and also well-maintained. We got the round in in just under four hours which isn't bad for a weekend.
I was so pleased with the course and the price, I did another Golf Now deal the following weekend and played the course from the back tees (roughly 6300 yards) and it definitely bumped-up the difficulty a notch. The folks I played with had never played the course before and they were also very impressed and said they would be back as well.
If you look back at some of the older reviews of the course, some of them aren't so complimentary. What I saw was a golf course that is getting serious attention from its staff---regardless of whatever its history has been. I stopped one of the greenskeepers in the parking lot, and I told him how much I enjoyed playing his course, and he said thank you and to tell my friends. I said "no way, I don't want the course to get too crowded" and he laughed. The results of their hard work are obvious (If you play the course, remember to fix your ballmarks...these greens deserve to be taken care of). Nice job guys!
Great pace of play
Course in great shape. Green are firm and fast. Finished in under 4 hours.
First time in a while
It's been a few years since I played this course. The course itself set up fine and was in very good condition. I was playing with my parents who are 80 and the course was not senior friendly. My mother hits a good ball while my father has lost a little length over the years. There is very little forgiveness for seniors on this course. The length is fine but with the length of the rough the course plays much longer for seniors. The placement of some of the tees in relation to the hazards is also questionable for seniors to be able to carry on a second shot (especially if you miss the fairway).
As far as a regular player the course set up fine and was a fun play. The rough presented a solid challenge on those holes in which the fairway was missed.
My biggest complaint was the walking 5some which was allowed on the course and showed no inclination to let us through. We ended up waiting every hole after we caught them on #3 (not long, but some) for the first nine. Would have been nice if a ranger had come out to split them up.
Golf course in very good condition. Great time playing.
Great course for the dollar;)
This course is old style tree lined fairways and a few dog leg holes that are fun. Long hitters will think it's a short course but will still have great fun with shaping shots. The greens were very good and rolled true. I was impressed by the greens some of the best I've played in Cincy. On some of the holes there is risk/ reward opportunities as well. It does have a island green/ peninsula so to say and is tough when the wind is up;) have fun out there because I did!!!
Great day for golf
I could not have asked for better weather. Course was in good shape. Still a few wet spots from previous rains, but tolerable. Staff is always top notch and personable. Facilities are in great shape and always clean. The course is always a challenge. This time, I shot better than usual. All smiles here. Thanks Green Crest. See you soon!
Fun course and fair price!
Really fun course with a great layout at the right price point. The greens are sneaky tough and the course does a good job of making the best of the space it has available to it.
Fun Course - Great Value
I have played Green Crest many times and it is getting better with age. The expanded ponds have added challenge to holes 6 and 8. Many of the greens are small and challenge your accuracy. The green speed is relatively slow, but they are pretty consistent. There are a few very challenging holes - especially #3, 4, and11. I think this course is underrated and is a great value.
A nice course but a muddy play
Unfortunately it was cart path only but the course was easy to play due the level course set up no hills. I would play again in any weather type.
Thank you for your 5-star rating! We are glad you enjoyed our team and hope to see you book another round with us soon.
