About
The Trout Club (formerly known as Licking Springs Golf Club) sprawls across a scenic landscape of rolling hills dotted with natural springs that is also home to an abundance of wildlife. Jack Kidwell, a local course architect who has played in role in many of Ohio's golf courses, designed the challenging layout. The course has a traditional design covered with mature trees, which are especially concentrated along the fairways. The undulating greens provide excellent putting surfaces. Their small size and quick speed will test your short game skills. The course is definitely a shotmaker's layout, placing a heavier emphasis on the placement off of the tee rather than distance. It is a layout that requires careful course management and skillful strategy. In addition to the golf course, The Trout Club offers two practice putting and chipping greens as well as a public swimming pool.

Trout Club
Always enjoy playing this course. Staff is always very nice & will usually let you go off early if there's nobody else on the tee.
First Timer
This was my first round at the Trout Club. The. course was in good shape. The greens rolled fairly true. It will be helpful to play again now that I am familiar with the layout. The front line is relatively flat except for a few holes. The back nine has multiple blind shots and is extremely hilly. Overall, the facilities are really cool. Restaurant, pool, and overnight accommodations are available.
Exciting and Challenging
Really fun course. Friendly staff and reasonably priced. The greens are small and heavily sloped, and the course generally has severe elevation changes which make it very challenging and scenic.

Course is in good shape, friendly staff, and nice restaurant but doesn't open until late afternoon. I would play there again.

Beautiful Day
Good value, white tees had great shots at top of hill! The red tees were not as fun, a lot of uphill shots off the tee box. Would like to play again now that I know the layout.
Had a BLAST!!
This course was under water just the day before and it drained so well. The greens were in good condition, staff was friendly. I've played the course and the back nine is tight and very challenging. I'm very disappointed with the new layout of hole 17 and adding the condo's on the left. We didn't eat at the restaurant this time but it's normally very good.
A great day
Trout Club was a fantastic play. The value is great and the course provides a fun and challenging round especially around the greens. The updated clubhouse and bar was fantastic and the staff was so nice. I would definitely play here again
