Sugar Isle Golf Course
About
Sugar Isle Golf Course was designed by Jack Kidwell, a familiar name among southern Ohio golf courses. Water is a prominent feature of the course, Kidwell incorporated it on more than half of the holes. Some 20 white sand bunkers are strategically placed throughout the layout, providing a scenic contrast to the water and lush greens. For an added challenge, many of the fairways are lined with mature trees although there is some room for error, which makes them more accessible. It is a course that will make you think but it is not too intimidating for beginners. The versatility makes it popular for outings and tournaments. Sugar Isle has even hosted the area's high school programs for more than 30 years. In addition to the golf course, there is also a driving range and large putting green.

spring golf
Course was in ok shape for spring. On course rangers were friendly, can't say the same for the guy inside. (acted like he didn't want to be there)
Spring golf
The course overall was in good condition for this early in the year. The fairways and tees were a little rough but I’m sure once it warms up they’ll be in good shape. Greens were punched and sanded but rolled well enough to shoot an 80. Overall well worth the money!
Sugar Isle GC
Played Sugar Isle GC November 25 at 9:00 . The course was a little wet from the rain over the last few days. Greens were in excellent condition, the fairways were high( not mowed) for this time of the year. I hadn’t played here in about 15-20 years. I would highly recommend this course to anyone around the Dayton,Ohio area. Well worth the drive.
Was getting dark. We played fast. Love the course. Excellent shape
Good Golf Value
Course is in great shape especially when you consider the dry summer and fall we have had. Greens and tee boxes were really good. The fairways were a little thin on a few holes but overall the course was in great shape. The layout is challenging but does offer opportunities to score. I will play here again..
Good Course
Decent course with a friendly staff. My tee time wasn’t relayed to the Marshall and we ended up getting put behind others so we started 35 min later than our tee time. So it was very busy on a Saturday afternoon. The course was in pretty good condition. The golf carts aren’t in the best condition but they did the job. Cart girl was also out. Overall, it was a fun day on a good course.
Good deal
The course was in great condition considering we just had a lot of rain. We finished in about 3 and half hours. Greens running average about 6 to 7. We were one of the first to tee off at 810. Never saw anyone after the first tee box.
Great Course!
This course is local to me and I enjoy playing there on a regular basis. With the drought we are currently in I expected the course to be in rough shape but it wasn’t at all. The grounds keepers really do their job well. The course itself isn’t what I would call extremely challenging but I would say it has some holes that can give just about anyone a run for their money. Overall I think it is a solid course that can be enjoyed by most levels of golfers
