Barberton Brookside
Even before they planned on selling the course the corse was never well kept the bar area was dirty and it seemed like the owner was just trying to make money not run a business. The course will not be missed
What a Gem
Played for the 1st time. My travelling golf league had never played this course before because of the distance to drive. WOW. We were really impressed by the layout & condition. All of us just loved it. We are adding the course to our schedule (2xs) next year.
Too bad it’s closing
Too bad it’s closing!I got to know this course several years ago. And have enjoyed every visit! It really is a pretty cool little course. Oh well another one bites the dust!
Kudos for not mailing it in!
I found out the course is to be closed and auctioned at month’s end.
I give great credit to the owner and staff for not giving up and giving in. Mowers were out and crew working hard. The course was in excellent shape given the circumstances.
Another local spot will most likely join the ash heap as did Maplecrest and Oak Knolls.
Enough condos!
Play it while you can. 11 bucks a great value!

I arrived 45 minutes before my T time only to find that an outing was scheduled during my T time. I asked to be put out before the outing, as a single and was denied due to using GN. I was informed by the person in the clubhouse that I needed to go out at my assigned time. I was told that I would be plugged into the outing. Needless to say I was disappointed and surprised by the lack of flexibility
, particularly as a single golfer. I decided to leave and not ruin a beautiful day sitting behind an outing. Thanks to GN staff for their assistance with this matter. I definitely will not return to Barberton Brookside.

Course was an excellent shape greens were very nice it's a shame that the course is going to be sold
Scoreable tract
I really enjoyed playing here. The greens were quick and layout was open enough in most places to be scoreable. We all had a fun time and definitely will be back!
Overbooked slightly, pace was slow. Played 13 holes in 3.5 hr had to leave.

Course is senior friendly, 5800 (yellow tees). Open off of the tee. Very good fairways, excellent, large
greens which are fast, sloping and beautifully maintained. Great food grill. Friendly staff. Old style course which dates
back 90 years. No complaints. Will play it again and often.

Wet
Very nice course. Very wet, but understandable with all the rain we’ve had this year. Greens were well manicured. We enjoyed the par 5’s. Overall good day.

Good times , had fun, no rush, no stress, didnt even loose a ball...! Staff was very friendly and on top of things.
