Willow Run Golf Course
About
Willow Run Golf Course was designed by a ubiquitous name in central Ohio, Jack Kidwell. The local designer played a role in creating many of the state's courses but he infused a different character into each. Willow Run has an interesting layout that will test your shot making skills as well as your course management capabilities. The greens are bentgrass and the fairways are accented with Ohio bluegrass. Correct placement off the tees is the key to doing well, especially on the front nine. Plenty of water comes into play throughout the golf course as well as several strategically placed bunkers. Willow Run's back nine boasts one of the most challenging par 4s in Ohio, the 13th. The green on this tricky hole is fronted by a meandering creek.

Excellent Layout
I really enjoyed the Layout, I think its the courses strongest attribute. Some challenging holes and some easier. VERY wet course as if there may be a natural spring near.
Pro Shop is well stocked and Clubhouse is clean and nice.
Don’t waste your time or money.
The course is a swamp and the cart path was non existent. Just pay the extra 10-20 dollars and go to a course someone actually cares about I guess you get what you pay for.
Super Wet and Cart Paths Trashed
Played here many times. It was super wet and muddy and the cart paths are pretty beat up. Overall course was nice other than those two things.
Good winter course
Friendly staff and course is in good condition for Ohio winter.
Winding Hollow - An excellent golf experience
It has been two covid-19 years since I last played this course. I will tell you that this course is vastly improved since then. Willow Run was showing off her excellent tees, greens, and fairways - well kept and very playable, This Jack Kidwell designed golf course showed some "getable" holes, but also some very testing holes. It does not beat you up, but it does challenge you to use every club in your bag. Best of all, are very affordable green fees (as other golf courses have jacked their prices up 25% or more). And for you power hitters, there are risk and reward par 4's to be played. Play this gem located just south of SR 161 on SR 310. You'll be glad you did. I was!
I liked the course design, not too complicated to negotiate. However: the golf carts needed repair; "hoopties", it's time for new carts. The cart paths are riddled with potholes, this made the raggedy golf carts ride bumpy. I think Willow Run should be included in President Biden's infrastructure bill. There were no ball washers out. Many of the sand traps had standing water, the others were hard-packed.
Nice course, just needs some love.
Surprised me
This course surprised me and I’m not really sure why I was expecting something less than what I got. This course was well-maintained;; the fairways, the tee boxes and the greens were in excellent condition in November. The course is long you better bring your boom stick on the back nine because it’s a beast. Had a great time here. Definitely coming back.
Flooded. Terrible shape
Have played willow run many time. This was by far the worst I’ve ever seen it. Hope they aren’t giving up. Atrocious is the only word I can use for the fairways, rough and cart paths.
Good course
Enjoyed the round with a friend. Course was in decent condition.
rainy day
First time I played golf going from tree to tree for shelter from the rain. Once it cleared, the course was very soggy. Surprise, surprise!
Otherwise, I liked it - not crowded, greens in good shape. However, fairways partly under repair, cart path a mess, tee markers a bit confusing, and no distance-to-hole or distance-to-hazard markers.
but NOT crowded and fairways not lined with houses.
generally a very nice experience.
Nice greens
The course was in good shape and the free s were better than expected
Solid course for the price
I find this course to be a great value. While not the prettiest of fairways and teeboxes the greens and bunkers are done well. The course is solid and a challenge at times. Overall fun to play
Blind tee shot... hazards, beware
Greens were in great shape t-boxes were in great shape fairways need some work but watch out for the creeks that run across the fairways.
