Safari Golf Club
About
Located adjacent to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, Safari Golf Club was carefully carved from mature forests. This tight course is not particularly long, but it has a varied design that appeals to a number of different tastes and skill levels. The layout features tree-lined fairways and water hazards on several holes. There are also strategically placed bunkers lurking treacherously beside the greens. The golf course starts off with a challenging par 4 that features a dramatic drop from the tee to the green. It finishes with two demanding par 4s as well. The 17th and 18th holes both feature a slew of challenges including rolling, tree-lined fairways and tricky stream crossings. Although it presents a formidable test on some holes, Safari Golf Club's hazards are straightforward with no surprises.

Nice course and fun place to pla
The staff is very friendly and the rangers do a great job of getting around the course and checking to see how things are going. The course was in great condition and the rates are very reasonable.
Good course for the money
We really enjoyed this course, but due to time constraints we only played the front 9. Even with the amount of play the course gets, it was in good shape!
Safari on a Buckeye Saturday
Overall, looking forward to going back on a Saturday when the Buckeyes play, especially if they continue to lay eggs like they did against Va Tech! Greens in good shape, fairways fair and tee boxes average. But for <$30, can't beat it. I'm being picky, but the 'newer' holes stand out like sore thumbs since they aren't quite as established, but are solid golf holes. Some of the 'older' holes are very nice, especially the back 9. We played from the 'backs' to make use of more clubs in our bag and had no regrets.
First time at Saffari
Very well kept course, poeple need to start fixing their depts other than that I really like the course and will play it again
Good public course
The course is in good condition, particularly the greens. It is fairly priced for an in town course. The practice facility is also good.
A nice round on Football Saturday
Booked the t-time on Saturday afternoon and was paired with another person. I was a little early and the staff allowed me to start by myself. It is a relatively easy course with not much bunkers or waters. The overall condition is very good. I cruised through in about 2.5 hours.
Much Improved Course
Played late in the day and greens were a bit slow and rough. Pace was also a bit slow, but overall a much improved course that I would recommend.
Fantastic Track in area a must play!!!!
I just played this course for the 1st time. I'm so glad I did awesome public course. I just moved here last week from Cincinnati area I'm a 8 hcp and live the course will be back next week. Greens a little slow but very good condition.
Safari
Plain Jane course, only holes we enjoyed was 17 and 18. They are awesome. Wish they had built more in teh woods. Others are straight, narrow and really no sand or water to contend with. Boring.
Great Course
Tee to green, this is an excellent track. I hadn't played here in many years, and loved the new layout. I really had one complaint. The grounds crew were on several holes, cutting grass when they could clearly see we might hit them with a shot. They would also pull up close to us as were hitting our shots on a few occasions. It was very distracting.
worst starter ever
The nicest thing I can say about this place is that the girl working the restaurant was very very nice. Either the people playing were clueless or rude - some both. The starter was not nice and clearly didn't know what he was doing. Maybe he was new. All day - and it was a long slow one - other carts (yes Carts, not just golfers) drove into our fairway looking for errant shots. Most didn't care we were waiting to hit and just took their time. Apparently no one there knows how to or can be bothered to repair ball marks & divots. The weather was perfect though, so not all was lost.
Great First Round
It really is a great course! I think the two main things that make this course a bit challenging are the sloping greens and the few fairways that are narrow-at least I found them to be.
Great course
Friend and I played it for first time in 5 years on joint birthday. Impressed. Will play it again and recommend to others.
as advertised
Review's of previous players was right on. Not real hard best played from the blue's. Play was slow
Enjoyed the course though
Great course for the price
I love playing safari. Great track and good price. They are always extremely busy.
Great Deal!
Beautiful course overall. Wide open for the most part from the tee box, well groomed fairways and rough, with some challenging greens. Always busy but the pace moves along with only an occasional wait.
Good course
The course was in good shape but the fairways were inconsistent in speed. Biggest issue is the whites are about 6,100 yards and the blues are 6,800 yards. They need an option somewhere in the middle.
Course is challenging and offers nice variety.
Course is convenient, we kept, and fun to play. StRter was less than friendly.
first time with new holes
white tees short for long hitter I was playing with friends who play shorter. greens in good shape but need to be faster. it has some very quality holes #18 is a pretty hole. the new holes they put in made it longer from the blues just wish they could have kept the old #10 par 3 over water it was a nice hole. I'll go back and play blues for sure.
Pretty Good Course
Course was in good condition. Clubhouse was nice. Driving range is pretty poor. Price was ok.
