Windmill Lakes Golf Club

The course was is perfect shape as usual. The fairways perfect and greens rolled very true and somewhat fast. Cold and wet weather did not keep us from having and great day.

I love the layout and condition of this course. It’s a good challenge and so well groomed. My only complaint is they do not offer handicap flags so you can go up close to greens

Not worthy $52.00 at any point I understand COVID-19 has changed some things but for golf it haven't. If anything COVID-19 has help golf courses because I know for sure golf was the only thing open during the pandemic. Why are they changing extra for a single cart if you want to ride along when for years you have benefited from two golfers riding together. Example if your cart rate is $20.00 to ride and we pay for 18 holes and a cart that's $40.00 for one cart when two players ride together. At this point you're not give each golfers $10.00 back for riding together. Before COVID-19 it was offered to ride together or not. Now it's a way for golf courses to just make extra money instead of enjoying the fact that golf has been the only sport/business open during the pandemic. Let me help you out with something. When you are out of carts it's not because players are riding separately it's because your attendance is up and maybe at a all time high. Because there nothing else to do!!! So stop trying to take advantage of your customer's and just be happy that you haven't suffered like other businesses and families during the pandemic. Because if things every get back to normal you're going miss not having a full tee sheet.

Course was in good shape however the layout is very boring. I couldn’t tell what hole I was on because every hole seemed the same. Pace of play was also very slow. Needed a ranger to speed pace up.

First time at this club. Nice course, well maintained. Roughs were dry and patchy in places due to the dry summer. Nice course layout. Very little water obstacles. Shady course. Bunkers are well maintained. Very friendly staff. Rate of play was super slow. We caught up to the foursome in front of us by the third hole and it was play-and-wait the rest of the day as the backup became more and more congested ahead of us and the party in front of us. Would golf here again.

Windmill Lakes never lets you down. Course was in really good shape. Fairways and Greens were perfect and the rough was thick. Absolutely love this place. And the Pro Shop is top notch. Go see Justin for your Club Fitting needs!

Staff was very courteous. Made me feel welcomed and helped make the experience extremely enjoyable.

OMG...what happened to Windmill. This course used to be beautiful, Now not so. There are many dead areas in some of the fairways from water decay, Many approaches have dead areas requiring to move the ball to find grass. Hole #8 is a disaster. The once large scenic pond guarding the green is now covered with green scum. The long tee is just a mass of divots with no filling whatsoever, Other Par 3's are chopped up from divots from players. Looks like very little attention given to divot repair by staff. The 10th tee apparently died as it is closed and being redone. All the tee blocks are in front of the once tee. Looks like the 1st tee is going to get the same as tee blocks are all in front of the tee. There are five sets off tees on every hole. However the greens are very nice and clear of dead spots. Windmill always had nice and fast greens and pristine course conditions. There was a lot of rain in the area but all the other courses managed to keep their fairways and ponds attractive, The greens fee at Windmill is the highest in the area. Sad to see course so bad. Hopefully some day it will receive the proper maintenance it deserves.

Course was in great shape and a privilege to play. Reasonably priced range balls and ample practice green. You earn every par on this course - very challenging yet nothing unfair or unreasonable. Will gladly make the drive to play again.

I will start with the positives with this course. Windmill lakes is a fair course when you have good weather on your side. The course layout is good, with some interesting par 3 holes. The clubhouse is large and maintains and adequate selection of balls, clubs, and other accessories. That’s the only good I have about this course. In my opinion, it is over priced. I have 10x the fun when I’m at a more local course that charges 10 or even 15 dollars less than windmill. Staff members do not have the best attitudes at the course. The pace of play there is turtle slow. The time it takes for people to play through is atrocious. This is not my first time at this course, I’ve been here more than a few times. Too many people think they’re tiger woods on the course and wait a whole 15 minutes just to chunk or thin the ball 100 yards. Going back to staff, you will encounter having your tee time booted for no apparent reason when you reserve. I have no idea why they do it with no explanation, but I guess that’s there way of saying “we have more important people willing to spend the same amount of money you guys are”, so bye. Lastly, this is half of the app’s fault gold now and windmill, but when you want a rain check at this or any course, good luck. I had a hot deal up on this course and I didn’t get to play my back nine because windmill shut down the course because of rain. So, I thought it would be easy to get a rain check, but it wasn’t. I had no option to get a rain check from golf now, and I was ripped off about 20 dollars. I don’t know why there isn’t an option to get a rain check on this app, but I guess that’s how it is. Windmill wasn’t helping dirt either. They said, “you have to call golf now.” WHO DO YOU EVEN CALL? Take my review with a grain of salt for somebody who’s been there multiple times. It’s not going to be like this for everyone. I’m probably getting the worst of it. 2/5 stars.
