Grantwood Golf Course
About
Grantwood Golf Course is one of the best golf values in the greater Cleveland area. The course sits next to Timberlake Recreation Park, a scenic park with a large fishing lake and picnic areas that are perfect for outdoor gatherings. The layout features small, undulating greens that are protected by more than 40 strategically placed bunkers. Water also comes into play on 10 holes in the form of a meandering creek and several ponds. The golf course is a challenging-but-fair test for players of all skill levels. Beginners and high handicappers won't be intimidated by long forced carries and won't have to worry about losing balls on every hole. Grantwood Golf Course sprawls across gently rolling terrain and the tees are in close proximity, making this a perfect layout for walking.

Great Course
Grantwood is always a favorite to play. Grass green and freshly cut, cart path only but still easy to keep up with your ball. Still in great shape after all the past rain. Friendly staff and always clean inside the club house. I would play this course any day of the week. KEEP UP TO GREAT JOB.
Great course!!
Grantwood is a pleasure to play. It’s got all sort of elevation and terrain variations. Pace of play is good and we finished 18 in 4hrs. 15 minutes on a weekend. The course is very well maintained. It was fun!!
Nice always in good shape greens are great i reccomend
Great Course
I always enjoy playing Grantwood, course has a nice layout and was in good condition...bunkers were even playable, so it can only get better as the heat come...keep up the great job
Great course
I play Grantwood 6+ times a year and have never been disappointed. There are a lot of elevation changes, numerous risk - reward shots and some holes you have to play them as the course architect designed them, or you’ll be in trouble, tee to green.
The course is very well maintained - cudos to the grounds management team and administrative staff!!
Slow Sunday
Course was wonderful but being a beautiful day in November we got what was expected. Slow play. To the point we had 2 groups on the tee for hole 5 and 6 while there was a group on the box in the fairway and on the green. That’s 5 groups on 1 hole. We played 9 and got a rain check. Staff was fantastic in the clubhouse though. I don’t think they have any rangers.
Pitch & Putt At Best
Grantwood is a golf course with perhaps 6 -8 real golf holes and 10 - 12 goofy holes that favor short hitters and those who enjoy pitch and putt. There are way too many holes where a stream and waste area is place where a decent drive would land. There are perhaps 2 holes where there are bunkers in front of the green which allows lower skilled players to run the ball up or steal a par with a good pitch. It is no a players course by any stretch of the imagination. If your a lower handicapper, invest your time and money into Punderson, Boulder Creek, Mannikiki or Stone Water. Your better off skipping this course.
Hi, Don. We appreciate you taking the time to review the course and rate us. We are going to pass on your feedback to the teams in charge so they can work to make changes. Thanks for visiting Grantwood Golf Course. We hope you'll give us another try in the future.
Nice simple course for beginners and the average golfer.
If you are a beginner, this is the course for you! It's long enough to get your strokes in. Fairways are just wide enough for a beginner, yet challenging enough for an average golfer, The greens are not difficult, but just enough to make it interesting, If you are tired of executive 9 hole courses, this is the one for you!
Nice course, I'll visit again
I enjoyed this course. The course is not exceptionally difficult but very well maintained and a fun course. In terms of play, it has a creek that comes into play in many of the holes, some strategically placed bunkers and a few small ponds. Some of the holes are beautiful to look out at. In terms of walking, it is mostly flat, with only a few hills to climb.
Inside the clubhouse are items to purchase (note it is cover-19 time), no food, a few cheap beers, and a grumpy old guy who doesn't seem to care that you entered the building or that you exist. The other staff seems a bit friendlier. Nonetheless, I like this course, I have played it several times, and look forward to playing it again.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. We would love to know how we can earn those last two stars next time! Thanks for playing Grantwood Golf Course.
