Grantwood Golf Course

We play this course several times a year as its a nice track and generally in good condition. The course though, given it's location, gets a lot of play over the course of a season. This is evident now in September on the greens. They've had enough.

I'm a big fan of the course but my suggestion is to wait until Spring as the greens are beat up. Other courses greens have similar problems right now but these are outside the norm.

I haven’t played golf in a long time ! I am just getting back into the game! The coarse was nice well maintained! It was difficult but not to the point for a new guy getting back or even a beginning to be intimidated by! Maybe it been. That long but no one or carts to even get a bottle of water! Wich would have helped many times in the heat! But we’ll be prepared next time! Over all I will play again! And for the rate I got with the cart you couldn’t beat the price! 2 of us golfed with a cart and my father-in law rented clubs it was still under 85 $ for 18 with a cart! My favorite part of this coarse is the pace of play ! There a lot of different handicap golfers out there and everyone was patient and polite!

This course is worth my return but it was cart path only because of all the rain. That was not the problem! The problem was that there were no rangers on the course making sure people stayed on the paths. We had golfers behind us pushing because they took carts all over. At one point, I called the clubhouse to complain and then they sent out the ranger and he caught them. They need to patrol the golf course more often or have the drink cart person look for this and report it. Put up a sign that says "Cart path only today so stay on the paths or be kicked off the course". If you kick enough off over time the word will get around to stay on paths!!

This course was great. It rained for a week before we went so the fairways and greens were really water logged so it made play difficult in some sections, but not to the fault of the course. There are a lot of small creeks to watch out for which can make this course more challenging for beginners. But really enjoyed the course anyway! Pace was slow - but it was a super nice day. I think moral of the story is - this course is awesome. Challenging. But the staff is great and friendly, the drink prices are good, so if you’re looking for a fun, relaxing round of golf, kick back with a drink and enjoy the scenery while waiting!

The course was in excellent condition and was impressed with the layout.

Many opportunities to score well, but it will punish you if you’re not careful.

Have to take advantage of the easier Par 4s and 3s. Par 5s are straightforward, but long.

I haven't played this course in a very long time. It was just like I remembered it. Bunkers on nearly every hole. Beautifully manicured greens. Tight fairways. 4 tee boxes to choose from so every skill level can enjoy this course. Terrific course and friendly staff.

Hot day and not one beverage cart in 18 holes. Also, on multiple holes, there were 3-4 groups backed up - no Ranger on the course to push the pace of play. Otherwise, the staff and the course conditions were good.
