Grantwood Golf Course
About
Grantwood Golf Course is one of the best golf values in the greater Cleveland area. The course sits next to Timberlake Recreation Park, a scenic park with a large fishing lake and picnic areas that are perfect for outdoor gatherings. The layout features small, undulating greens that are protected by more than 40 strategically placed bunkers. Water also comes into play on 10 holes in the form of a meandering creek and several ponds. The golf course is a challenging-but-fair test for players of all skill levels. Beginners and high handicappers won't be intimidated by long forced carries and won't have to worry about losing balls on every hole. Grantwood Golf Course sprawls across gently rolling terrain and the tees are in close proximity, making this a perfect layout for walking.

Rolling hills; very tight
Great course with rolling hills and blind shots. Lots of dog legs and very small greens. Driving range and nice area to chip and putt also. First hole is very challenging with out of bounds on both sides. Hard course to walk but if you can walk it you will burn a load of calories. Greens are very true. My only complaint is that this course was $40 to walk and $50 to ride 18 holes. $35 to walk would be more reasonable.
Pros: water on the course, ball washers on the course.
Need rangers going around the course
Need rangers going around the course to speed up play. Front 9 was fine. Back 9 was pretty bad as a result of two really slow foursomes.
Grantwoof
Would play again but never use golf now paid for 18 and golf course only let us play 9 because it was after 2:00. Golf now said we could play 18 and paid for 18.
Golf
Course was great but purchasing 18 holes from golf now sucked it was late in the day and they only let us play 9 after 2:00 so I don’t know how you could sell us a round of 18 holes for four people. Will never use golf now and on top of it I had to pay your convenience fee if 13.96.
It was good, but not my type of course
The course itself was good, the greens were good, loved the layout, staff was nice. It’s just not my type of course, I only played the front nine and am not a fan of hearing cars pass by every 5 seconds. Everything else was fine, I’m just picky. The best hole was number 3 which is a slight dog leg right par 4 that then has a water hazard in front of the green, beautifully design. Overall good course, but just not the type of course for me.
Brutal.
I played this course at around 8am with a buddy of mine. The first 9 the greens/rough were still not cut down. Not only that but the course was in such bad condition we almost had to lift clean and place every shot, even though it hadn't rained. The greens have 0 consistency and sound like concrete when you hit them. They aren't quick greens, they are concrete and poor quality. Did not enjoy my round at all.
Challenging but fair track in great condition
The course was in great shape. Although there was league play going on at the time, the pace of play was fantastic. Couldn’t ask for more!
Fairways and Greens not Cut
I have played here many times in the past. The grass is fine but needs to be cut. There has been enough rain and there is not much danger of burning the grass. Also, price is much higher compared to other city owned courses like Lost Nations which are in much better shape. However, this course is in better shape than another of our past favorite -- Gleneagles.
