About
Grantwood Golf Course is one of the best golf values in the greater Cleveland area. The course sits next to Timberlake Recreation Park, a scenic park with a large fishing lake and picnic areas that are perfect for outdoor gatherings. The layout features small, undulating greens that are protected by more than 40 strategically placed bunkers. Water also comes into play on 10 holes in the form of a meandering creek and several ponds. The golf course is a challenging-but-fair test for players of all skill levels. Beginners and high handicappers won't be intimidated by long forced carries and won't have to worry about losing balls on every hole. Grantwood Golf Course sprawls across gently rolling terrain and the tees are in close proximity, making this a perfect layout for walking.

Slow Pace of Play
Good, challenging course that was in great shape. They take good care of it and the practice range is one of the best I've seen in the area. The pace of play was rough. We waited for the group in front of us on every hole on the front 9. Took about 2:50 for the front. That group left and didn't play the back so that went a little faster. 2:25 for the back. Great value and beautiful conditions, I will definitely be back
Nicely maintained coarse
nice round of golf both times i have played this year. April and end of May. greens firm, fairways fair, a little water challenge ( two holes), some creeks to be aware of. enjoyed my day.
Nice layout, poo pace of play.
The course design is really nice with a lot of variety for the layout. Greens were fast and firm and the fairways were in great shape. The challenge was there was a foursome in carts in front of us that had no concept of ready golf and pace of play. We waited on every shot and the round was close to 5 hours. We saw the first marshall on the 17th hole and when we told him, he blew us off. I won't drive an hour to play this again but for locals, it's a nic course.

Great Course
I’ve played Grantwood multiple times and it’s always been a pleasure. Good elevation changes, numerous risk-reward shots and some blind shots required. Course drainage after rain is great so having to do Cart path only is a rarity.
Only negative sometimes is the desk staff in the pro shop. He acted like he really hated his job.
Great course great stuff
Always a great experience on this course. A bit slow play here and there but they maintain this course well. The staff is great and friendly and very helpful. I play this course at least once a week. Definitely worth the money.
It needs a break. Return in the Spring
We play this course several times a year as its a nice track and generally in good condition. The course though, given it's location, gets a lot of play over the course of a season. This is evident now in September on the greens. They've had enough.
I'm a big fan of the course but my suggestion is to wait until Spring as the greens are beat up. Other courses greens have similar problems right now but these are outside the norm.

First time
I haven’t played golf in a long time ! I am just getting back into the game! The coarse was nice well maintained! It was difficult but not to the point for a new guy getting back or even a beginning to be intimidated by! Maybe it been. That long but no one or carts to even get a bottle of water! Wich would have helped many times in the heat! But we’ll be prepared next time! Over all I will play again! And for the rate I got with the cart you couldn’t beat the price! 2 of us golfed with a cart and my father-in law rented clubs it was still under 85 $ for 18 with a cart! My favorite part of this coarse is the pace of play ! There a lot of different handicap golfers out there and everyone was patient and polite!
Good course but . . .
This course is worth my return but it was cart path only because of all the rain. That was not the problem! The problem was that there were no rangers on the course making sure people stayed on the paths. We had golfers behind us pushing because they took carts all over. At one point, I called the clubhouse to complain and then they sent out the ranger and he caught them. They need to patrol the golf course more often or have the drink cart person look for this and report it. Put up a sign that says "Cart path only today so stay on the paths or be kicked off the course". If you kick enough off over time the word will get around to stay on paths!!
