About
Grantwood Golf Course is one of the best golf values in the greater Cleveland area. The course sits next to Timberlake Recreation Park, a scenic park with a large fishing lake and picnic areas that are perfect for outdoor gatherings. The layout features small, undulating greens that are protected by more than 40 strategically placed bunkers. Water also comes into play on 10 holes in the form of a meandering creek and several ponds. The golf course is a challenging-but-fair test for players of all skill levels. Beginners and high handicappers won't be intimidated by long forced carries and won't have to worry about losing balls on every hole. Grantwood Golf Course sprawls across gently rolling terrain and the tees are in close proximity, making this a perfect layout for walking.

Unfriendly staff at golf shop. Had to wait 10 minutes and this head guy was on his computer ignoring me. Looked at me twice, did not mince a word.
Nice public course
Well located course in nice condition. Pace of play was good and staff are friendly.
Fun yet challenging
Nice course, good location, many hazards which make it challenging yet enjoyable, features both higher and lower handicaps, good deal with Tee Off, will play again.
Worst Staff in Ohio
I've played here about 8 times since I moved to Cleveland area over a year ago and not one time have I had a positive experience with the staff. Their delivery is off completely and they give off the vibe that they do not want to be there let alone deal with people, each time I have only needed to go in and get my cart key because I paid online through Golfnow and every time man or woman they undoubtedly have an attitude and less then friendly. If you can get past a staff that has no clue about customer service or customer experience the course isn't bad, pretty good for a public course however you have to get past the rudeness that is the staff who would rather find a way to ruin your round before it starts rather than treat you like a human being.

Expected of a public course
Overall it was fine, it’s what’s expected of a public course. Too many divots on the greens, my advice to anyone playing would be, regardless of skill level respect the course and know the rules this makes everyone’s experience much better if you understand Cleaning up after yourself and pace of play you’ll enjoy it more as will everyone else. GO HIT EM STRAIGHT!!

Solid course
I rated the amenities as "fair" because they don't offer anything substantial to eat if you don't eat red meat or pork (i.e. turkey, tuna salad, chicken salad). I was always have to bring my own meal.

Great time with great people
The course is in very good shape but oh man are those greens tricky. Practice greens (Putting and Short Game) were in great condition and gave me an idea of just how hard the short game was going to be today. Very nice staff, will definitely be keeping an eye out for hot deals here in the future.
