Reid Park Golf Club - South Course

About
Reid Park Golf Club has two 18-hole courses available, the North and the South. Originally opened in 1967, Reid Park has established a reputation as one of the best golf values in the area. The South Course is a challenging but playable layout, which is why it is the home course for many of the area's high school teams. The golf course is laid across gently rolling, open terrain that allows for the occasional errant shot. It has a very player-friendly nature and it is easy to walk. The course is not overly punishing but there are still a few challenges in store. If you're looking for a tougher test, the championship North Course is the way to go. In addition to Reid Park's two golf courses, there is also a driving range and two putting greens.

Good course for the money!
I go here about once a week and play on the south course, it’s a really good course with friendly staff. I enjoy playing here and it’s a good course for beginners. No sandpits, minimal water. Would recommend to anyone for the value!
Ruff Rough 5/22/21
Rough on the South course could use a shave!! Miss the fairway and plan on spending time looking for your ball.
Great Course for Seniors
Have played this course many times over the
years. It is in wonderful condition under the new ownership/management !!!!
Being a senior player now it is great to have this
shorter course to enjoy.
Thanks area golf pros for the wonderful job
you are doing with Reid South !
North 4 stars South 3.5
The north course is the better course both in terms of course layout and condition, but not by a lot. Both courses are worth playing, especially if you get a hot rate. The south course you can really score well if the conditions and your swing are optimal.
Poorley Marked
Tee Boxes had 0 markers. As someone playing course for first time, was difficult to find the next hole.
Nice course if you’re not great at golf.
Nice course if you’re not great at golf.My friend I enjoyed this golf course and it was in very good shape for still being March. There’s not many sand traps or water feature so pace of play moves along and you don’t lose 1000 golf balls. Everybody at the course was very nice.
A MUST PLAY
The staff are more than helpful to make your round great, the course is in really good shape for this time of year.
Reid South Course
Early in year. I will go back when trees and grass is full green. Elevation changed a lot and the dog leg holes, I could have picked tighter lines. Scored really good, played white tees (6200 yards). Ground was wet ( no roll ) in summer should be able to play tips (blue 6400 )
Beautiful Course
This is a beautiful course with mostly open fairways with trees on the sides. Has some interesting blind holes and a few water hazards. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our only complaint is that not every hole is marked, so you really need to consult the course map if you are not familiar with the course. We will definitely play here again. Had a great time and a beautiful fall day.
All over the place layout
Grass a little too long in rough. Lost balls common. Course layout was hard to follow. Seemed like it had been changed from original layout. Had trouble knowing where the next tee was and had to cross in front of a couple of tee boxes and pass close to greens to get to the next hole. Need more signage for players who don't come here often. Lots of blind greens and pin placement was brutal. On the sides of hills on the greens in several cases.

Excellent value for the money
Great course in the Dayton area
I always enjoy playing on this course. It is always in great condition and the pace of play is great. The staff is always friendly and helpful. The layout is easy to follow with having 2 courses. And for $10 as a hot deal, you can't beat that price anywhere. I will definitely be going again soon.
Great deal on sale
Paid $27 for 2 people riding. Good course for the money. I had not played the South course in a couple of years, so it was a relatively new experience for me and totally new for my golf buddy. The greens are challenging and since it has been dry lately they were extremely had to hit and stay on. Although not as challenging as the North course, I would recommend the South course for a change of pace.
