Reid Park Golf Club - North Course
About
There are two 18-hole courses at Reid Park Golf Club, the North and the South. The courses have been providing one of the greater Springfield area's best golf values for over 40 years. The championship North Course is the longer and more challenging of the two. The South Course is open and walkable while the North Course features a hillier terrain with elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Mature trees frame the large, slick greens and there are also strategically placed bunkers throughout. Many locals consider it to be one of the toughest golf courses in the area. Though there are different tees so that you can play to your skill level, beginners may want to stick with the South Course, which still has challenges but is more player-friendly than the North.

Best bang for the buck
First time playing here and enjoyed 18 holes on the South course. Definitely more challenging than the north and there is the potential to lose some balls. We then played the front 9 on the North course. It was more open and geared for beginners but still fun.
PLAY YOUR OWN BALL!
The North course is tight so there's a lot of interaction between fairways and had my ball played by other players twice. Some rude comments made from the local yokals who thought they owned the place... Because their trailer park was next door.
REID North
Not the best course for high handicap people. Very pretty though.
Great municipal course
The north course at Reid has some challenging holes and some easy holes. It's well taken care of and is a pleasure to play. The back 9 has tons of elevation changes and would be extremely hard to walk if you're older, so keep that in mind. The price is a great value. You won't be disappointed. I just wish the city wouldn't kept Snider instead of the south course at Reid.
A fun, challenging course.
When I first arrived to Reid Park Golf Course, I did not know what to expect. The buildings on the property are small and mostly unlabeled, with none of the country club feel that so many golf clubs try to portray. That is fine with me. The two gentlemen inside of the pro shop were very friendly. They gave me a quick tour of the property which included the cart garage, the snack bar, the direction of the two courses on the property and pointed me to the first tee at the North Course.
The first hole is simple and an excellent start to the round. From there the scenery continues to improve and improve. The tee boxes had little wear and tear and the course was nearly empty. Hills, water hazards, bunkers and many many trees are strewn throughout the course, demanding a skillful shot, and thoughtful club selection on every stroke.
I look forward to playing here again.
Reid North 6/24/21
Course is in decent shape coming into the City Am in a few weeks.
Greens are always good!
Fun, tough course
Hit ‘em straight or you’re in trouble. There are big trees and unmowed nature areas along most fairways. I know, I’ve been in most of them. Lol.
You will need to use every club in your bag. The course is in good/great shape for a municipal course. Excellent value for the money. Well worth the drive from Columbus.
*Correction, we played 18 on the North and then the front on the South course. The North is more of a challenge. I got my directions turned around :)
