Raintree Country Club

Myself and two friends went to play a "quick" 9 holes on a Sunday afternoon. We had our tee time booked for 12:08 pm. Upon arrival at 11:30, we were informed that a group of golfers from the morning who had tee times for 8 brought 20 guys instead....with no tee times. The on site manager and starters lost complete control of the golf course. As they scrambled to find space for everyone, because they apparently felt the need to accommodate the golfers without tee times, it created chaos for everyone else. They began plopping groups all over the golf course, anywhere they could find an open hole, which created further chaos. Now groups were screaming at each other because they felt they got "cut" in line. After playing 6 holes, we walked off the golf course. Nothing about it was enjoyable. The sad thing is, this constantly happens at Raintree. They always overbook and end up with a log jam on the first tee. With all of the other options in Stark and Summit counties, this was my last time going to Raintree.

I booked a tee time on golfnow.com to play this course. I showed up just about 7am. Online stated that the course opened at 7 but no one was there. I figured someone was running late. After waiting 30 minutes I left, as well as a few other golfers who showed up. Terrible management, can't blame it on weather. Good luck to me to get my money back, I know they will charge me and I will have to fight it.

Golf there several times during the season. Wish it was closer to home as we would play there more often. It was "wet" but afterall, it is early March in Ohio and it rained all day Tuesday, but very playable considering. It is always in pristine condition when warmer weather arrives, which hopefully is soon. Staff is always great and personable.

For February the course was in excellent condition. The greens dried out and firmed out throughout the day, we started at 9:30. This is a fun layout with a lot of different shots. It seems to lack an identity on some holes, not links and not a parkland style courses. A few holes always seem to miss sometime visually for me, but they holes themselves are great. Some longer par 4s offer a more difficult challenge, and a couple hard dog legs keep the driver in the bag. THEY NEED DOG LEG DISTANCE ON TEE, without GPS it's impossible to play. The par fives fun, two are long and two very gettable with decent drives. Overall, la nice design Ohio based Brian Huntley, many of the best courses in the area are his designs.

Golf course itself was excellent. Challenging and fun course to play. However, clubhouse needs to be gutted and completekt renovated. I"l be back again to play the course.

Raintree is a gem...always in decent shape. Very playable yet challenging. Great layout ...interesting holes with a great finisher. Always accommodating staff ...nice practice area . Have hosted our small company outing 2X now and we will be back...John & staff do a nice job .Convenient location . If you've not played it come on out.

Course ok rained night b4 a little wet

Was visiting Canton & played on the recommendation of a local. Very avg course in desperate need of water. No tee box signs of the holes. No water to drink on the course. No cart girl. Played the tips...some very long par 4's on back side make it interesting but fairways were so hard that you could not take a divot. There are other nearby courses I prefer before returning.

we got there at 6:45 am, and got right off of the tee. There was not anyone to collect our money in yet so we were just politely asked to pay after. We did and the guy working the front desk was amazing, and thanked us for coming. This was a great experience. And I won!!!

Always a fun track to play....and one of the few courses in the area that actually has a full practice area and above average range balls, compared to other courses in the area.

No drawings of holes on card or at tee. Unknown hazards turn good shots into bad for players unfamiliar with layout.

Really enjoyed our time on the course. On hole 16 (?) there is a marsh on the right side that smelled so bad I almost threw up. A group of older men in front of us that were hammered drunk made it a little less fun to play behind them for 2 hours.

Overall great course. Great layout. Not too hard but not easy.

Will play there again for sure.

Greens are not consitent and ruff needs better care Fairwsys and tee boxes are good

A little pricey for this course. Sand traps weren't in great shape.

course was in excellent, poa greens were rolling extremely nice and somewhat fast. fairways in excellent shape, sand traps also, rough was as it should be, rough but not over penalizing. tees in good shape and I could even get the tee into the ground. over all and excellent course and a fair challenge. scorecard could have a course layout which would help find unseen hazards.

I live an hour away and this course is worth the drive every time. The course is always in beautiful shape, the greens roll fast and true, the pace of play is good. Even with a rain delay my partner and I finished in under 4 hours. Possibly my favorite in all of NE OH. Make the drive, you will be happy.

After a deluge the night before, the course was very playable. Although traps were flooded. But over 5 hours to play 18 holes, SOMEthing really has to be done to improve this.

The course layout was fantastic. The conditions were also in very good shape. There was a delay once my group made the turn, with two groups in front of us, and the group behind us even pulled up before we teed off on 10. With that being said I look forward to returning to Raintree CC

Course was in nice shape. There were no Rangers to address slow pay. Course did not combine singles to help alleviate slow play. Frustrating round.

Won't be back soon. Too many other courses in the area to choose from.
