Don't play from the tips
The tips on this course are surprisingly long. I play them on most courses, but it really lengthens this course significantly. With the exception of a couple of holes (15&16) the course is laid out really nicely. It's a fun, challenging course to play, has great facilities, is always maintained well, and the pace of play is generally pretty good. If you get a great golf now rate, it's even better, but this course is worth the regular $40-45 rate. The range leaves a little bit to be desired, but is perfectly fine for warming up before the round.
Nice course, some really great fun golf holes.
Raintree is a nice golf course. It is pretty long, just under 7000 from the back tees. A lot of really nice fun challenging holes as well as some blah holes. It was pretty windy and rainy when we played, and the wind was blowing down the hill (the course has a gentle slope from the west to the east), going up the hill was really long and down the hill felt much shorter. The par fives and the holes closer to the club house are all really nice, playing through woods, streams, and water. Electric carts is always a plus too.
What happened
Used to play this course in 4 hours. Now all thru care about is making money and overbooked the course. Over 5 1/2hours to play here. Unacceptable
idk what happened here
This course used to be great to golf. But it took over 5 1/2 hours to play. Seems like all their concerned about is making money and not the customers passing their bills
Course is very good. Everything is in front of you
Enjoyed the eighteen holes. Clubhouse is disappointing.
Course was very wet
Probably would have been better to have carts 90 degrees or cart path only....or even fairways only. The rough was very mushy in spots. Nice course...will be back.
Variety is the spice of golf
Raintree is a nice challenge from the tips. The course has a nice mixture of holes that require different strategies and a variety of clubs. Several of the par 5s are risk/reward opportunities. The greens roll well and get faster as the temperatures warm up. Th par 4 13th is a monster from the blues; it's as long as number 2 which is a par 5. A nice course to spend some time swinging the club.
Nice place
A good test from the tips. Greens roll well. Nice variety of holes. Risk/ reward par 5s. A monster par 4. Challenging without being boring.
We got 18 holes in on Monday June 2nd in under four hours. Did not notice any slow groups out there. Everything seemed to mind their pace.
I played on Monday June 2nd and got a round in under four hours. The course had lots of others out there too. We caught up to a group on 14 and they really hustled to stay in front of us. The course was in good shape, a little inconsistent on the green speed, but no bare spots or weeds anywhere.
