Course was in great shape. Greens were very receptive and held most shots. A little on the shorter side but enjoyable to play. Course staff were great and very nice bar for 19th hole. Would recommend.
Great course
This one is a bit of a drive for me but, well worth it. Course is in great condition it is definitely a must play. Golf carts are really nice and the staff is super friendly. Keep up the good work. This course is definitely one of my favorites that I plan to play a lot despite living an hour away.
All around good day at Stillwater Valley
Great weather, friendly staff and a well kept course. Greens in great shape, holding approach shots nicely and rolling good. Several roped off areas but really not in play that much.
Very enjoyable round of 3.25 hrs. 2 players, no one in front of us all day.
More than expected
Was a little unsure when I was making the booking but more than worth the drive and will for sure go back. Everything was good and the course staff were excellent.
Could have been better
I was surprised to see that the greens had already been aerated on Labor Day weekend. Play was slow and they released a scramble in the middle of our round. We were on hole 6 and scramblers showed up on 1-8. 2 groups each on 7 and 8.
5 some and 6 somes
Course is in good shape and well maintained. Pro shop and bar area are very nice. Allowed 5 man groups on the course that were mostly 36+ handicappers. Waited for at least 10 minutes on every tee box watching grown men take 4-5 shots to get past 270 yards. No Marshall to keep groups moving or to keep groups of 5 or 6 broken in less than 4.
Course is good...play is slow
Honestly, the course is quite nice. I enjoy the layout and the overall difficulty of the course. However, the last few times I have been there, I have experienced major issues with slow play. Even with several groups allowing mine to play through, I still found my group waiting for a while.
Great Day
Today was the first time I played at Stillwater in well over a year. As always, it is still a nice, tight course and I even played well.
Hot but great course
The course was in great condition. Thank goodness for trees for shade. Love this course.
Fun course but 5hrs and 45 min was just a little too long.
I think the title says it all. Too many drunk 4somes and not enough help from the clubhouse. Too bad. Used to be a fun course to play.
