Beckett Ridge Golf Club
About
Beckett Ridge Golf Club was designed by Jack Kidwell, a well known name in Ohio golf. The course has a classic design that is inlaid with meandering streams that weave through stands of mature trees. The rolling landscape was deftly incorporated into the golf course. The layout offers a variety of holes ranging from long to short, tight to open. It is definitely a course that requires some strategy. One of the most memorable holes is the par-5 fifth. It measures 541 yards, but this downhill hole plays much shorter. There are out-of-bounds on either side and the tricky fairway slopes right to left but with some strategy and a little skill it is possible to make it home in two. Beckett Ridge is one of Southwest Ohio's best golf courses.

10th Hole at Beckett Ridge Photo submitted by Wahwah87 on 04/10/2013
Very nice course
We had a great fall day for our first time to play this course. The guy who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. The tee boxes, fairways and greens were all in very good shape. The greens were difficult with virtually none being flat or even close. The greens were also quick but I feel if I played it a few times I could adapt quickly. If you aren't straight off the tee, you'll be penalized. Cart paths were rough in some spots as others have mentioned but not a big deal considering the fantastic shape of the course. We will be going back.
cost to paly
Read my experience. C'mon 29.00 to play nine holes on a burnt up golf course? I don't see it being around very long. Too many nice golf courses in the area, where you can play 18 holes with a cart for 25.00.
Tough course
The course, itself, is in very good condition, although most of the tee boxes need attention. The cart paths are pretty rough, but they have done some patching recently. The clubhouse needs a total renovation.
Challenging and hilly
Course was in good shape for August. Had rained day before and I think they watered overnight. It was really soggy in some places. Hills were very challenging. Greens were fast but in good shape. Clubhouse really dated and looking a little run down. We heard course had. Just been bought on May. Hopefully they have some money to spend on the course(weeds) and fertilizer. Clubhouse and parking could be improved too. Overall though it is a great course.
Not worth the green fee. Could be better.
I paid $46 expecting the course to better than $30-40 golf courses. It was not. Some of the tee boxes and fairways were not maintained. After the first 4-5 disappointing holes, the course quality did improve.
I was on the course 7-11:30am. The drink cart was no where to be found until the 17th hole at 11am, which was too late to be any help.
No fresh food offered at club house. Only drinks and snacks. This use to be a private course and is now public. I would not recommend it for $46.
Bring a Book to Read.... Its a LONG WAIT
Beckett Ridge is certainly a coarse I would play again but OMG... Can we please separate the tee times a little. Every 5 minutes is ridiculous! Took 6 hours to play. Luckily the beer was cold. (Yes, I brought my own cooler LOL) I do love the scenery and challenges the coarse brings. The price in incredible. The fairways and green were in excellent condition. My only problem is the pace of play.
Greens are great
Great greens, pace of play is slow, need more yardage markers, better clubhouse is needed, employees are super friendly
No Starter. Teed off 45 min after tee time...
No Starter. Teed off 45 min after tee time. Pace was slow the whole time. No ranger to help keep pace. Guys in Jean shorts hacking 15 times from the tips right in front of me. This day was a disaster. Wish it could have gone better because I enjoyed the course and it was a bit challenging.
Very good public course
Previously a private course it is now public. The staff have maintained the conditions to keep the greens fast and true. The fairways will provide a great lie while the rough penalizes bad shots. The layout is very challenging. The next time I'm in town sill definitely play it again.
great golf
Nice course will play again
Season Opener
Golfing in March in Cincinnati not bad at all.
Nobody there
It was nice and 70 degrees on December 13th, having booked an 8:18 tee time, I pull up at 7:50 and see at least 12-15 gentleman standing in front of clubhouse door. There was another 12 standing by there cars in the parking lot. There were no employees on site. We were able to call another course that could put us on at 8:30 so we left knowing we would be on at Beckett and play would be slower than usual with at least 6 foursomes waiting ahead of us.
best fairways in Cincinnati
I am about a 10 handicap and play many courses in Cinci and NKY. I have played it 3 times this year, would play much more but live in NKY. Played 11-16 fairways and greens in great shape just like the other 2 times, much better than 2 of the main courses in Boone County which are over rated.
They could use some new carts but the course was very good, one of the better courses in the tri-state.
A well taken care of course.
The course was in great shape for early October. Greens were medium fast and consistent. Could use more yardage markers. Varied challenges around the course.
Disappointed that they had an outing and the restaurant and bar were not available.
Good course with variety
Enjoyed my first time out here. Pace of play was excellent as a single, though I started early and was lucky enough to pass through a foursome on Hole 2 and didn't see another group until I was teeing off on 16. I suspect this may have been somewhat of an anomaly, as there was a big line to tee off at #1 when I hit the turn.
Greens are undulating and a little fast. Fairway bunkers and doglegs in danger from your driver on several holes. Most holes felt unique, so didn't feel like I was playing the same thing twice anywhere. I think there were five par 5s and five par 3s, which helped add to the variety.
Staff Unaccommodating
Staff here is rude and unaccommodating, particularly given the number of golf courses in the area and the general decline in courses across America. Would not provide any accommodation to a scheduling error I had made. Although within their "rights," from a "fair play" perspective, most other courses would have done something. Not unlike Petterson refusing to accommodate Lee's mistake in picking up her ball thinking the putt was conceded. Obviously, they do not care about repeat customers. Will not be coming back.

Well maintained
First time playing this course. It was one of the best maintained courses I've played. The staff was not rude by any means but could have been more friendly. The beer cart was great. We did see her at least 6 times during one round. I would recommend this course. I would be a member of course if I lived near there and could afford it.
Poor
I live near the course and would play more often except for the following:
(1) pace of play is terrible - no rangers to keep the crowd moving
(2) traps are full of rocks, normally washed out, not raked
