Elks 797 Golf Club

About
The 797 Elks Golf Club, formerly known as Quail Lakes Golf Course, has changed more than its name since first opening in 1961. When the course was up for sale in the 1980s, the trustees of the adjacent Elks 797 Lodge purchased the property in order to keep a public golf course for the community. The front nine was created well before the back nine was completed. Although the two nines provide a vastly different look and feel, they provide plenty of variety that manages to meld seamlessly into a great round. The ever-changing landscape adds to the course's diversity. Mature trees and tall grasses line the fairways, making accuracy essential, and you'll also find strategically placed bunkers lurking along the greensides. There are definitely some challenges in store but with careful course management, you'll be rewarded with some birdie opportunities.

Pretty decent
Course is well maintained. Grounds crew doesn't always want to get out of the way but it's not horrible. Some of the stuff are friendly others don't seem to care for the golfers. Greens have a few issues but it is expected. Overall it's a good place to golf if your just wanting to golf.
Poor condition and very slow play
Bunkers are concrete, greens have craters in the middle of them, no real difference between the fairway and rough in terms of condition and pace of play was painfully slow.
Great course for price.
Overall a great course and will be playing again. It’s wonderful value. You aren’t playing the world’s best course but don’t go into it thinking you are. You are paying 35 for 18 and it’s great for the price.
Elks 797 Golf Course
The Elks 797 Golf course is in better condition. Lots of mowing and the greens are in better shape. Play there at least ever other week. and the course is getting better.
Elks golf course
The Course is in terrible shape, just play it to get some swings and practice in before I play other courses. I would never pay a course rate there, because, it is probably the one of the worst courses in Ohio.
Golf course
The course is in bad shape I just play to get in a practice round at a cheap price or I would not play there terrible shape.
Rude and Unprofessional
I arrived, ready to play my round of golf, in a good mood. Then I ran into Brenda inside the clubhouse. God forbid I inconvenience her with trying to pay for my round of golf. What an absolutely wretched personality. I could feel my joy being sucked into this pit of misery. She was unable to find our prepaid reservation, got frustrated, clearly didn’t understand the basic technology of online check-in, then gaslit us into thinking we were criminals trying to steal a round of golf. After speaking with some colleagues and peers, I was quick to discover I’m nowhere near the only person with these complaints. To have and retain an employee who literally drives business away is absolutely mind-blowing.
Elks797 Golf Course
The course was in decent shape for early spring. Only problem was almost all the greens were in terrible shape. They were mowed but a lot of of bad places on almost all the greens . Looks like they aren’t doing anything to fix the problem. .We called 2 putt and had to move the ball to avoid bare and bumping spots.
