Not enough bang for your Buck
Premium rate at $129. Besides the greens which were in very good shape the rest of the course was not. Fairways were marginal at best. The course needs work. Cart paths are beat up tee boxes were bad. Crumbling retaining walls. Pace if play was slow. The group in front of us had over 2 open holes in front of them. We didn’t see a ranger all day. They have 5 guys standing around the bag drop assuming to make tips. Zero interest in pace if play. Staff seemed like they didn’t want to be bothered when we inquired about the ranger. There are several courses within 20 min that are far superior in course condition and customer service for half the price.

Challenging Rough
They decided not to cut the rough a d if you were off the fairway your ball got buried. IT added 10 strokes to your score. I have never seen their rough that long. Make sure to call and ask if they cut teh rough before playing this course

Pace of play is a joke
For a semi-private club that charges $120/round, you would think the rangers would do a better job of having the groups ahead of you to pick up the pace. Group ahead of us was about 2 holes behind pace. We were waiting 5-10 mins on every tee box. Called it quits after 9 holes. Will not be going back here.

Drought has obviously had an impact, but course overall in good shape. Challenging, but not unfair, although I do believe that some of the white tees were a little far back for average golfers of ordinary driving length .
Golfed here before. Will do so again.
One peculiar experience, having nothing to do with the course. While waiting for 2nd green to be cleared, and standing by my ball, the golfer behind me came up and asked if I was playing his ball. I said it was mine. He then proceeded to drive ahead of me all the way up to the green, circling his cart around the collar. He then went back and found his ball 40 yards behind mine, but then decided without asking me to play his ball up onto the green.. I returned his ball to him, to his chagrin. I gather he was a member who did not think golf etiquette was required of him.

2 problem holes
The 9th and 10th holes are often sited as poor. The 9th is a par 4 steeply uphill. It is very very steep. It looks like it needs a chairlift for skiing to get to the top. The landing area for the tee shot is limited and the second shot to the green is fully blind. Once you’ve made it to the the top any putting beyond the flag faces a huge downhill putt that will roll right off the green and head back down the fringe a long way…..feels absurd. The 10th hole is an exact severe downhill fairway requiring a shot to a somewhat level landing area…hard to execute. The approach to this green, which can still be quite downhill requires a lofty wedge to get it to stop. Too much downhill altogether on this hole. I have made par on both the 9th and 10th many times but find the degree of elevation (9th) and downhill (10th) far exceeding normal slopes. There is a highly accommodating staff here, the food and upkeep are excellent. The golf course is compelling and finished with a fantastic and gorgeous par 5 eighteenth hole. Worth the trip to play and I always return again and again.

Greens and Pin Placements unfair
The greens are challenging but the pin placements on a few holes were just unfair. If you are on the wrong side of the green your ball cannot stay on the green. If you don’t know this (no local knowledge) you are screwed. The carts have no gps so good luck.

Well maintained with good mix of holes
Second time playing. Par fives are long and tough. Uphill holes are really tough. But on the other hand, downhill holes are really fun. Greens are in great shape. Stay out of the long thick rough very close to the greens.

Cart Path ONLY
It was 90 degrees out and they had cart path only. No where did it say that when you booked the reservation. Paying for a cart you have to leave a Mike away is dumb.
