Terrible condition course
New York country club used to be a pristine golf course but when I played there, the tea boxes were all chewed up. Sand traps were hard as a rock and greens were terrible. Very very bumpy will not be coming back anytime soon.

A “Rough Time” but a good time!
First time playing NYCC and I loved it. Staff was quick to get your clubs right out of the car and right into a cart. The layout of the course is great. Some extreme elevation changes here and there but not constantly. I’m not sure if having “real rough” is how the course usually is or if I just caught them on a day where it wasn’t mowed recently but it was thick rough 2-3 inches. Had trouble finding balls in it but I liked the challenge of having to hit out of it. Perfect ending hole too, a short 5 that can be reached in two. Definitely coming back!

Wonderful and Challenging course
I really like the layout and the difficulty level. Due to recent rain, the greens were a bit slow and the tough was quite deep and difficult!

Difficulty Somewhat Challenging
Spend the $ for grass cutting
Sunday. Grounds crew deserve a day off. There in no first cut. Fair way to very deep ruff. We spent more time looking for balls just off the fairway than we did actually playing each hole. Very frustrating.
