New York Country Club

The course really puts the work in. The greens are rolled frequently they roll as true as a private course! No two holes are the same and has awesome views. Definitely not your dog track muni course at a price barely more.

They redid a dozen bunkers this year and kept the course in beautiful shape. Staff is nice and great bar for after! Locker rooms are nice and easily accessible. Pro shop is well stocked w demo clubs too

Great course but they need a ranger to keep pace of play. Slow round for a weekday 4hrs 45 minutes

Not a bad golf course but incredibly inept staff of rangers. Waited 10 minutes on every hole then a clueless ranger accused us of slow play. Much of the staff was friendly and polite but the folks on the golf course do not pay attention. It’s a semi private club and the members did not seem to appreciate our presence either.

I’m going to keep this short because it’s been a long day. This course rocks.

Plain and simple. Tough as heck, greens are pure as a newborn baby, and the layout is top notch for a semi.

About as solid as it gets. $62 for a weekday round post prime time. I say yes.

Be prepared for slopes, undulation and up and down hill shots. But conditions are fair and challenging and it’s a reprieve from the desolation of muni and A typical Jersey/NY golf.

I had not played this course in 15 years. The layout was fun, interesting and challenging. Greens were in great shape and had some quickness to them. Greens keeper must have been in a bad mood with some tough pin placements. Not a fan of # 9 and #18. # 9 is a joke hitting to such a severe elevated green that it makes number 15 on Bethpage black look slightly uphill. From the tee # 18 does look like a great finishing hole but if you can’t get there in 2, no reason to hit ball as close to the green as possible with yet again, another severe uphill lie.

The view of NYC skyline is great! I paid $65 but not willing to pay $100+ for this course.

Played here on the 26th went right back on the 28 th course always had a nice layout but now it’s in fantastic shape. As good as any country club around. Played the blues and very challenging. Staff is very accommodating and friendly.. will be back soon.

I am a 18 handicap. Play whites and blues. Drive 250+ This is a really interesting course. A lot of the fairways are narrow and/or have pinch points which gets your attention. That said, a lot of the errant shots in our group were recoverable/playable. The course layout is beautiful with a few holes very different (both hitting up a mountain on one and down a mountain on another). The greens are challenging - very undulating. I don't think I had a flat putt all day. Very scenic course and in above average shape. The sand traps were in great shape - a welcome change from a lot of courses around here.

I would definitely play again.

First time @ NYCC. Beautiful course, maintained very well. Tee box’s were in great condition, fairways were in great condition and greens were in great condition. Some greens were a little bumpy but due to players not knowing how to properly fix their pitch marks, so won’t blame the course for that. Many challenging holes with elevation changes. Greens were really hard, surprised its only a 134 slope with the tight fairways and tough greens on approach shots. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I had a great time time playing today, can’t wait to go back.

The pictures on their website are extremely deceiving. Photos on the site make it appear like the conditions are much, much, better. Bunkers were hit or miss. Some were in great shape, some weren't. On their site, they show certain holes that have really long bunkers down the entire side of a hole, and those bunkers in real life were overgrown with weeds and not in good shape at all (#13 in particular). Most green side bunkers were in good shape though and greens were in good shape.

Hole #9 is one of the dumbest holes I've ever played.

Overall, nice course for $50, but temper expectations. This isn't as nice as they portray on their site or the photos on golfnow. Long story short, don't expect it to look like it does in the photos, but go play it because it's a fun course.
