fast play, course in good condition, friendly staff
Challenging golf course
It was a ver hot and humid day with a strong chance of an afternoon storm. Because of that and to make sure we would have a good pace of we were allowed to play the back 9 first and then the front. It was successful and we played in 4 hrs. The course was in very good shape. The pin placement on the greens made putting very challenging. Overall it was a very good experience.
Rain in New Rochelle
It was raining in New Rochelle, no one picked up
the phone at the course so I thought it was closed.
I am stuck paying for a round I didn't play
Back in shape
Course is in good shape again. Greens excellent. Tricky reads rolling smooth, grain a factor. So good to see this fun course in form again.
Wow!
This course was not only beautifully challenging because of the layout, the greens were fast and undulating. I am in eight handicap and I had a really fun time trying to beat this course first time out. Let’s just say the greens won. I would highly recommend this course and would definitely like to play it again.
Loooooong Day
Round took over 6hrs. Three to four 4somes on each hole. Course Ranger stated there were 180 golfers on course at one point. Overbooked tee times made this one of the least enjoyable days on the course.
Good value
Played here last Fall and had a good experience, so I tried it again. Very good this time too.
They do a nice job maintaining course condition. My only complaint is the fairly major bunker reconstruction project they have going on, but I can tell they're working on it, so that's minor. Right now, you can't really play out of a number of the bunkers.
I have not had a problem with pace of play either time, and the weather was good both times so it wasn't like it was because there was nobody on the course.
There's enough variation on the tees to suit just about anyone's game. I liked that they generally had the blue tees on the proper box. I hate it when courses put all/most of the blue tees on (or in FRONT of!!) the white boxes. Overall, good value so I can definitely recommend.
