Great course
Great and challenging course. A lot busier than I thought it would be. But overall, great course and a good time.
nice condition
Greens had just come back from sanding but were somewhat long. Tee boxes a being over seeded and will be good the winter.
A Grip And Rip Course
Cimmaron Trails was never designed to be a dart throwing contest. There are two par-threes that call for a carry over water, but otherwise this is a wide open course that plainly rewards the long hitter.
The card tells you it is a long course, but somehow it plays even longer than it says. Not that good a place for the senior short-knocker, but excellent for the sturdy lad with a 300 yard drive.
The course is in very good shape, considering the recent dry weather. Grass coverage is never an issue and the greens are plenty lush. Maybe even a bit too lush, as they tend to be slow.
If you shop carefully there are bargain green fees aplenty, which make a turn around the course all the sweeter.
Fun to play
Course was in excellent condition and well maintained. Not exceptionally hard, however some holes can sneak up on you the first time playing the course.
Best grass I have seen on this track.
We drove an hour and 10 minutes to reach this course and make our 10:28 tee time. They have just punched the greens and sanded which is normal for this time of year. This was probably my 5th time to play the Golf Club and I was shocked at the improvement of grass quality on the tee boxes and fairways. The sandy greens are always a little frustrating but those will heal. I played the Blue tees. Good challenge and great course for risk/reward shots. Staff was friendly and that added to a great golf experience. I will definitely return.
Great value
Great fun course. Would like to see senior tee in play.will be back many times. The golf pro tucker is a true asset.
The "Joe Experience"
I've played this course 4 times now and I really like it. It's always in great condition and if you can play during the week you basically have the course to yourself ! An undiscovered good golf course, just wish it wasn't as far away.
Hidden Treasure
Excellent well manicured course. Very well maintained. A good Challenge for every level of player.
Relaxed fun on the Trails
Might want to lay up on #9 if you have the normal stiff wind from the South. The other par 5s are set up to go for it in two.
Relaxing Day of Golf
Golfed on a Thursday. Course was not crowded which gave a very relaxing day of golf. Greens and fairways well maintained. Not a very difficult course. Has just a few water hazards and only a few sand traps. Very flat wide open course. Very forgiving.
Still a fun course.
Played back when it first opened. First time back in years, still fun. Needs a little TLC(weeds in some bunkers, tee boxes very hard need watered) other than that fun course. Will go back.
**This is something I say on all reviews and not the courses fault. Ball divots on the greens, if you do not know how to fix them, learn! if you are to lazy Richard Noggin, quit the game, real golfers do not need your kind on the course!!
Great place to play
Nice course, friendly staff. not too heavily played. Great place to play
Needs a beverage cart
This is a fun course but a beverage cart would make it better.
Great track
Love the course. Easy access from the city. Highly recommend this course. Fun to play with some good challenges.
This course is definitely worth the drive from OKC metro area!
This course is extremely enjoyable to play. Course was in great shape and staff was friendly. Took advantage of hot deal through Golfnow which can not be beat! Will definitely play here again!
Great course when you have time to play it
I love this little course, but that's only when I have time to get through it. Played today and walked off the course at the 15th Hole after we were 4.5 hours into the round (on pace for a 6 hour round). A TON of foursomes taking their time with absolutely no regard to fellow golfers behind them. This is the second time I've played a Saturday here, and I will not be returning unless they invest in some type of course marshall. Saw three employees driving around and texting, I don't see why they couldn't have done it.
Oh, and there was no water in the coolers after the 4th tee box and it was 100 degrees, so that was nice.
Other than that, great course. Love the guys in the pro shop, and this is a top notch golf course outside of the two gripes above. Will return to play here during the week, but just no structure on weekends, and not worth the weekend price tag with that in mind. And the water thing wasn't cool.
Impressive
Very impressed with this course and the greens. Hidden gem in Perkins, Ok. Who'd of thunk? Nice staff, nice clubhouse, and the course is very well maintained and groomed. I will definitely be back.
Course is in great shape.
Enjoyable to play, fairways are good, the rough is fair , and the greens are fast.
Cimarron
No real starter, therefore I went as a single. It appeared with a little effort pairing could have occurred to avoid that. Fairways and greens were in good to very good shape. There was no real kitchen help in running the grill. Could only buy drinks. Bev cart closed at 5 with no warning and numerous golfers on couorse.
