Great course Photo submitted by 5959steven on 11/08/2016
Very fun course to play.
This was a fun and challenging course to play. The landscape was exceptional to look at as well as adding to the challenge of course.
Normally a great course
Normally this is one of my favorite local courses. However, when I played yesterday the front nine was closed to aerate. Although I understand this is necessary, there was no notification. They also had a senior tournament, not to mention plenty of booked tee times. My tee time was 1142, when we started to make our way to the tee box, there were 11-12 people waiting to tee off . We actually skipped number ten and started on 11. I believe this particular day was poorly managed!
Like Solving Chinese Algebra
There are maybe 3 courses in OK anything like TCABR. Moderate width fareways lines with Blackjack Oak, and always those eyepopping uphill or downhill fairways.
This course doesn't punish you with water and sand. They let the vertical nature of the geography do that job. Oh, there is the occasional bunker or pond, but you hardly notice those. It's the elevation you will remember.
If you have been around since the course was routinely called Goat Hill you probably know how things have changed here. New pro shop and restaurant (with outside seating). Actual grass most everywhere on the course these days, and greens like the rest of the world is accustomed to.
Yes, TCABR is a very up to date course today, and if you select carefully even prime time tee times are a bargain. Shoot, the full price green fees aren't bad.
weekend golf
Great course and everybody knows it. We had a fivesome of seniors (most walking) in front of three twosomes who were in front of our foursome. It took 4 hrs 30 min and we finaly quit on the 16th tee because there were three groups backed up! busy place on the weekend.
This is no Walk in the park
Blackjack has a little bit of everything, par 4's down hill blind,par4's up hill,par3 over water, par 3 and par 4 of scenic downtown Tulsa, this is a course to be play more than once
great course greens are in super shape
good times playing with best bud, super time played pretty good
Fun course to play
Interesting layout - fun to play but was slightly disappointed in condition - driving range closed on a holiday - really ?
Fun course with great views
This course is not very long but has lots of elevation changes. Bad shots may still be ok or they might be dead. Plenty of undulation on the greens but they are fair. Lots of birdies to be had if your short irons and putter are on. I will be back.
Great Elevation Changes
Course is definitely one you will not want to walk.
The elevations changes make for a fun round of golf.
Dont Miss This Gem!
Has to be one of my favorite courses in Tulsa Area. Hard enough for the experienced golfer and yet forgiving and short enough to make it enjoyable for the average golfer. And with the Golf Now Price this course is a steal. If you don't jump on this deal your a fool!
Great course, great price.
This a a great course in really good shape. The greens are in really good condition. The course is short but still a very challenging course. You can't beat the price for the great quality of this course.
Very nice experience
Excellent course with nice views of downtown Tulsa.
worth a trip
Drove up from okc and glad we did...fun and beautiful course...loved the changes in elevations and that creates some great views. The only real drawback was just 2 water fountains so prepare.will go back again for sure.
Great view of downtown
Great public course in great shape. View of downtown Tulsa is awesome. Challenging holes but fair. Water is rarely in play. Fairways in good shape. Greens are in perfect shape for hot weather.
Tulsa's Best
Best golf course in Tulsa for the value! Elevation changes are extremely challenging. One of the flat lies is on the tee box. The scenery is the best in Tulsa. Challenging course with an extremely friendly Staff!! Thank you for an enjoyable round of golf! I'll be back often.
Excellent
Great Course! Will return! Would highly recommend!
Blackjack
Very fun course to play. Great scenery, good condition - both greens and tee boxes. Lots of dog legs and enough challenge in holes to make it fun yet a few more forgiving holess that bring you back.Considering I only play May-August, I really enjoyed the course.
A great value
I booked my tee times off golf now, and the staff did a great job! They let me on like 30 min before my tee time! Dy far my favorite course in the tulsa area!
Playing Rock again
The course was in good condition-much better than the last time a couple of years ago.
Hidden Gem
Great course worth the drive... Very fun and challenging holes.
