Great course Photo submitted by 5959steven on 11/08/2016
Playing Rock again
The course was in good condition-much better than the last time a couple of years ago.
Hidden Gem
Great course worth the drive... Very fun and challenging holes.
Fun, Challenging Course
The slopes of each hole make for a lot thoughtful and strategic golf. The greens are in excellent condition!!
Terrible Marshall
The course was in way better shape then normal, greens were great! The problem we had was the Marshall , we played a 4 man scramble and finished in three hours which is pretty quick, the Marshall followed us around all the time. On the ninth hole we finished putting as a group approached the tee box and he said we needed to pick up the pace....I responded with the fact that they had just pulled up, and he said I'll only take back talking one....wow I had to laugh, that guy was a joke. Upon entering club house we found out he was treating everyone like this. I'm out on this course until he's gone..
Love this course
I have pleayed this course many times. I just love to changes in elevation and challenging shots. Took my wife for her first round there and she fell in love.
One bad thing
I love this course. It has a challenging layout, great views and a top notch staff. The only downside I had with my last round is that they fertilized the greens on a Friday morning which left it difficult to putt. Whatever they had in the mix left little bit of stuff that would coat your ball, making it difficult to putt and it would also transfer that mess to your hand and equipment. Not a great day to do that guys.
Solid course
I'm a beginner, so all the hills made it tough for myself, but the course was well kept and offered great scenery and views. The greens were difficult to read, but can't really complain about anything on the course itself besides lack of quality drinking water fountains.
The course is a fun course to play . It is laid out to where you don't have a level lie after your tee shot and some of the veiws are fantastic.
I have always liked this course . My only complaint about this course is that it does not have any drinking water on the course for the golfers. I have talked to the staff about it and talked to people at city hall and they still do not have drinking water. Oh they are running a beverage cart now , but that shows me they are more interested in the dollar than the golfers. When they get drinking water ,I will play it more frequently . Until that happens I will play it once a year and continue to tell people about this situation.
Visitor review
I played twilight here last week as an out of town guest and really enjoyed the course. I was able to get on without any problem and the club house person was friendly and accommodating. The fairways were in good condition but a little wet from heavy rain the day before and the greens were in really good shape. The course has a lot of undulations to it as it's built essentially among some hills and a few holes have some great views of downtown Tulsa. The first par 3 on the back was interesting as you virtually couldn't see the flag due to the 50-60 drop in elevation from the T-Box, but I thought the course was fair and the moderate length helped. The twilight rate was a good value, especially compared to what I've paid in years past at the Tulsa public courses as I thought this course was in better shape and not as much traffic.
good
everything was great except we were hurried a little because there was a scramble booked behind us so I don't know why they would do that.
Better Course Managment needed
I have played this course many times and I enjoy it. The place of play this past Sunday was very slow because the management does not marshall the course and they let singles, doubles, or even a fivesome play. They need to put groups together to make foursomes and they need to marshall the course to keep a better pace of play
good for the money...interesting course
This course was tough....short but has lots of up and down with some blind shots. It is not in amazing shape, greens were pretty good, but overall a good value for the price. If you are in the Tulsa area it is worth checking out. It is set up high in the hills of Sand Springs so you get nice views of downtown Tulsa and the area.
beautiful
Very pretty course. Challenging with all of the hills and drop offs, but beautiful views. Fast greens :)
best $20 round
great views
good friend
great elevation changes
great value for a round
Greens getting better every year.
3 years ago this course was almost unplayable because the greens were so terrible. This course has steadily improved over the past 3 years. The greens were in excellent condition last week.
blackjack ridge
Extremely slow play - marshall showed up on back side but it was to late for my group. Stoped playing there about 10 years ago because of slow play & favoritism too some members.
This is a unique golf course over several hills
a unique experience unlike any other golf course in Tulsa. Because it's hilly there is hardly ever a flat lie.
Beautiful
Amazing views with a lot of undulation.. Greens were in great shape.. Very challenging course! Well worth the money!
WOW!!
This course is the best value in Tulsa and a must play-have played over 200 courses and was wishing we were staying longer to play again-comparable to Wolf Creek in Mesquite at a fraction of the price
