About
Formerly known as Spring Hill Country Club, Albany Golf & Event Center dates back to 1959. Though the name may have changed, the classic design of the course hasn't. The golf course measures to just over 6,500 yards from the back tees. It may not be a lengthy layout but it's a fun round for beginners and advanced golfers alike, which is why it was chosen as the two-time host to the Oregon Open. The golf course was built on some of the country's most fertile land in a temperate location that allows year-round play. Strategically placed bunkers frame the greens and there are water hazards that come into play on a few holes. One of the most difficult holes, the par-3 17th, is a water hole. There is a lake that runs along the entire right side up to the green, which is also bordered by bunkers to the left.

Nice course, pretty good shape for early March in Oregon.
This is a great place to play for the money. I paid $25 for 18 holes with a cart and the course was pretty nice. The fairways were firm which is something I havent seen anywhere this time of year in Oregon. The greens were rolling very nice, although they did have some very small dead patches on some of the greens, they werent bad enough to take away from the rating. The course is fairly short, even from the blue tees, however the somewhat tight tree lined fairways and small greens do still give the course moderate difficulty. I plan on going making this course part of my regular rotation of places to play, you just cant beat the price for a quality course.
Easy to walk an well maintained.
Overall the course was in good shape. Pace of play was great, weren't pushed and wasn't waiting on anyone. I have played this course a lot and always enjoy playing here. The staff we had interaction with seemed somewhat dismissive and I got the feeling from them that I was interupting them or bothering them. Once we moved to the driving range and course all was well. The people we met on the course, including the groundskeepers were great. Shutting down equipment while we played by them. Overall satisified with the course, but proshop staff could be better.
Great course to play.
This course is one of the fairest courses to play. With 6-3 Pars, 6-4 pars, and 6-5 pars, hard to find. Trees, water, sand traps all there to challenge you. Good drainage for winter golf.
The course was in terrific condition for this time of year.
Got a wonderful deal on GolfNow. The course was in great condition for February. Staff was friendly and helpful. Grounds were beautiful and course played moderate to challenging.
Great layout, fast and challenging greens.
This is a great course. Well maintained, challenging layout. Greens are really fast despite the wet weather. Tough pin placements make putting fun or frustrating, depending on how you look at it. Not crowded, friendly folks. I'll be there again and again.

Course kinda sloppy in area (wet) some kind of fungus on few of the greens. slow play but for price it was still worth it!
