Lost Tracks Golf Club

Course entrance was great, clubhouse was cool, and close to town. Range was 10 spots on grass with a small bucket being cheap ($5) but only coming with about 15 balls-most of which were reclaimed water balls from an empty pond of mud on 8 (I think 8).

Holes setups were ok, course was in ok shape-bunkers were all different consistency with 12” string grass around the rims. Fairways were ok and greens in solid shape. Golf carts were great with gps devices. They showed yardage with front middle and back of green, yardage to first hazard - which was not obvious till 8th hole - and overall hole layout. Problem was screen was 2” tall and about 3” wide and not interactive. For the money that is what you are going to get in Bend area and was not disappointed even if review may seem negative. Just trying to be honest.

Love this course. Play it every year when in the area. My biggest complaint is the loud, stinky gas powered carts! My home course has beautiful new electric carts and this was such a bummer.

Fun course close to town, good conditions on most fairways and greens. Only thing I didn’t like was the lack of yardage markers throughout the course. Even tee boxes don’t have ground markers. Struggled to get yardages on most fairway shots- had to use phone GPS.

Good value for the money though. Will play again.

For early in the season, the course was in pretty good shape. It is a public course, so is not the same as playing at a resort course, but it is definitely worth the cost. There are some fun holes.

We have played Lost Tracks many times over the past several years. It is a family-run facility that treats golfers of all abilities like guests. It is a great value and presents the golfer with many challenges as well as spectacular views of Mt. Bachelor. My only suggestion is that they need a marshal on peak days as sometimes the pace of play can slow down.

Ok I understand that it's early season around Central Oregon but I have played 4 other courses in the last 2 weeks and the fairways were in better condition at every one of them!. Many very large dry dead grass spots and some open dry dirt where a couple of years ago there was grass on this course... looks like it's just being neglected. Seriously, even in the areas with good grass coverage there was no soft spongyness to the turf, just a bit of grass over extreme hard pan. It looks like if they don't get water on the fairways in a few days the dead out areas are going to get MUCH bigger.

I played Lost Tracks via a Golf Now deal, If I had paid full price I would have been pretty unhappy. I will continue to play here at Golf Now prices but would never pay full price given course conditions.

Loved the course and felt it was challenging but fair. Greens were in great condition and the island green with the passenger train as a bridge was super cool. Frost delay was a bit of a pain and had to wait an hour but that was no fault to the course. Actually the first group out let me go ahead and finished in under 2 hours with a cart playing solo.

Kind of a fun layout. Lots of interesting doglegs and a surprising amount of uphill/downhill approach shots. Staff was super friendly and we played the round walking in 3:38 teeing off in the middle of the day. Can’t beat that.
