Pronghorn Club - Jack Nicklaus Signature Course

Everything was in perfect condition. Challenging course that was also beautiful. Has to be the best course in central Oregon

This was the 3rd time I've played this course and enjoyed each round. It is very challenging and the greens are very fast, so make sure to prepare well in advance. I strongly advise you to play it a few times if you're able. The 2nd time, you will undoubtedly learn obstacles to avoid! The staff is very customer focused and will do their best to provide you with the best experience possible. If you're visiting Central Oregon, make sure to play this course!

Money making idea for Managment. Sell food on the course other than chips and snickers bars. $250 a round and there wasn’t food which is incredibly poor management.

We had a fantastic round at Pronghorn. Course was in great shape and pace of play was good.

Amazing course and staff are great. However, after spending over $130 per person they should have notified us that the back 9 was under construction. We golfed the entire back nine without pins in the greens. When we dropped carts off the staff said, oh yeah the do green maintenance after noon… everything else was perfect, but this was unacceptable.

Played the Nicklaus course as a walk on single and got paired with another walker. We walked 18 in just over 4 hours on a Saturday morning in June. Never had to wait on any groups ahead of us and the group behind us was never on the same hole as we were the entire round. Golf has gained in popularity so much since Covid which has packed out courses to the point where I wasn’t enjoying rounds anymore. Pronghorn is managed well and the course was in fantastic shape. Course design was challenging, with the small greens being the biggest challenge in my opinion. There are some tight landing areas off the tee, so 5-wood was the play on a few holes. One thing I appreciated were the generous pitching areas around virtually every hole that allow for a “good miss”. It’s really annoying when there’s zero bailout areas around a green. I would definitely come back to play this course.

So I accidentally wondered onto the private Tom Fazio course at Pronghorn on this day, and boy did it not disappoint! That said, I took the time to make sure I checked out the Nicklaus course and it looked almost identical in terms of conditions and beauty. I've only played here once, but I WILL be back. Very impressive.

Pronghorn needs to add a halfway house!! The distance between 9 green and the clubhouse is too far. Three groups backed up for people wanting drinks and use a restroom. Poor design and a simple fix.

$95 plus $30 for cart in the winter and a subpar course condition.

We were the only people on the tee sheet. At the counter they told us sorry no carts (not even cart path only!)

No golf club rentals (“brand new, not open yet, sorry”)

Long golf course to make people walk! Just don’t open if it is to give that kind of service.

We tried it because we had a golf trip planned to Bend in the summer for 20 of us. We tried another golf course with splendid service, an amazing golf course and a hotel to take care of us. This was just an experience to forget.
