Hole #1 is a slight dogleg left. Your tee shot should favor the right side of the fairway to open up your approach shot.

Widgi Creek #7: Typically into the wind, going for this green in 2 is risky at best. There is water to the right off your tee shot and water guarding a small undulating green. Best to play it safe and lay up to save par.

About

At Widgi Creek Golf Club, you'll discover the most comprehensive golf, sports and fitness environment in the Northwest. Start with a full eighteen holes of championship golf that meander beneath huge pines along the rim of the dramatic Deschutes River Canyon. Add practical, hands-on tips from one of the area's finest staffs of golf professionals.

Designed by Robert Muir Graves in 1989, Widgi Creek is over 6900 yards and plays to a par of 72. The course is a challenge to every level of player. Characterized by fast undulation greens, it is considered one of the top 5 courses in the area. Golf Digest called Widgi Creek, "the sleeper in Central Oregon" and Golf Magazine called it a "must play". Widgi Creek will always be considered to be among the best maintained in the area.

After the round, relax at The Grill or shop the fully stocked pro shop. The Grill provides tasty light fair with daily specials for lunch and dinner. Both indoor and outdoor facilities are available with a marvelous expanded outdoor deck that looks out over the golf course. Exceptional banquet facilities (seating to 150) are available with specialized menus.

Avoid at all costs

great challenging layout, horrific conditions. The fact these guys are charging $150 is absolutely criminal. Fairways / tee boxes in terrible condition, every green rolled differently.. I get this course is closer to the mountain so might take longer to get in good shape but then adjust prices accordingly. Stay away for at least another month or two.

Missed eagle on hole 7 by an inch. 😂 fun course if you’re willing to play smart and not hit your balls into the trees. Staff is super friendly, feels like what golf in central Oregon should be like. Cool little restaurant / bar . Driving range, starter , all good things . I’ll be back.
