Golfer Reviews
Nice Track
It’s a nice track, with friendly staff, and reasonably priced.
Starter was very rude.
Usually my family and I golf her once a week and have never had any issues. Yesterday, we’ve met the meanest old lady that we’ve ever met. She was the starter and she’s very rude. Customer service is not her strong suite.
Not happy about HAVING to not share a club.
We took our daughters out for 9 holes. They understand golf etiquette. They play maybe twice per year. We had three sets of clubs with us.
They made us rent a third set End of Story type handling.
No thanks for bringing them again. Or we’ll just pack a very light bag.
Incidentally, the twosome behind us could not keep up with us. So their claim of wanting to service Pace of Play rings hollow with me.
Not user friendly is what I’d call them at best, focused on income at worst.
Good course, good conditions
I like this course. It's flat (I like to walk), and the greens are magnificent. Course kept in great condition. Will play here from time to time.
Very nice course
Good golf course for the money. The fairways and greens were well maintained. It is one of my favorite courses in the Portland area and I will be back!
A nice walking course
I made a reservation for a single Hot Deal.
Since Claremont is close to my home I go there quite often, two, three times a month.. Each time I've found the staff very welcoming and the starter efficient in spacing out the groups. Additionally, they have player assistants regularly patrolling the pace of play.
It's located in a 55+ residential community and is very well maintained. There are just two holes with elevation changes but otherwise, it's a very walkable for senior course for players.
The only limitation I can think of is that there's only a two net practice, warm-up cage and no refreshment amenities. However, there is a powerful air blower to clean shoes and push carts.
Hidden Gem, Great Value
I love this course. The pace of play is perfect. I can get my game in and still complete my daily duties. The staff has been wonderful as well. Can't wait to go back.
Beautiful Golf Course
Claremont is one of the rare golf courses that's well-maintained. The layout, water ponds and beautiful houses are just absolutely gorgeous to see while playing golf. The grass are mowed down pretty much of the course. Price is reasonable
Marshall is not nice
Great course, The Marshall is not very nice. Played 7 holes in 1:30 minutes and got yelled at twice for pace of play. Maybe it’s a bad day for him but really irritated me.
Home course getting better
Great course for the price. Staff is friendly. The upgraded drainage, removed trees, and repaired bunkers have made this course much more enjoyable. Tee times are overbooked every 10 minutes when the course takes 2 hours to play. This adds stress and conflict to the game when three groups are on the hole at once. I'd be willing to pay more for better pace of play. It would be fun to have a refreshment cart, a bar, a restaurant etc. I'd even settle for a rotisserie hot dog. Could there be room for a small range on the property at some point in the future?? This could be a massive revenue builder or at least a place to warm up if there's space. Keep up the good improvements!
