Unplayable when wet and soggy
Very poor conditions but I can’t place the blame entirely on Redtail given our extremely wet weather lately. And, it’s a muni course after all. Balls in the fairway become plugged or unfindable. If you’re in the rough that’s at least 2 additional strokes tapped on. Very frustrating to say the least. The only benefit of having bad conditions is no one else really wants to play so we were able to finish 18 in just under four hours.
Good layout
Nice challenging course with great greens. The course does not drain well and is a sluggish mess after rain. The grass should probably be cut shorter in the fairways as you can lose a ball even if dropped in fairway. The rough is super thick and sucks up balls. Would love to play it in a dryer condition.
Muddy course
Muddy and flood. The bunker is full of water, like a lake. Rough is very muddy and soft. Very difficult to find the ball.
Best public Course
Best Public course in Oregon.
Mid week special
Booked a mid week discount round through Tee Off. Great price and nice day to play in a twosome, quick pace and decent conditions.
Too soggy no discounts
Greens were uneven and turfy slow with lots of divots (I blame poor sportsmanship), fairways are extremely soggy and muddy on many spots my electric caddy just sat and spun it’s wheels like I have never seen, I thought the $38 walking rate were rip-off just because of the beautiful sunny day after a week of lousy weather, I blamed myself for taking the bait. I only comeback to this course in winter if it’s $18. Oh, our walking threesome got another twosome joined to play, followed by a twosome with cart, what he (the starter) was thinking?
Golf Now never fails
Feels like my home course - little muddy from the rainy season but guess what great time and the course was amazing !
