About
McNary Golf Club is located on the site that once was the homestead of Charles McNary (1874-1944), prominent Oregon Congressman, lawyer, and vice-presidential running mate of Wendell Willkie. Since he was an ardent golfer, it is appropriate that this course was named in his honor at its opening in 1962. The course was developed by Jim Sill who wanted to build an enjoyable course for the average golfer. Initially, the McNary home was used as the clubhouse. Today, modern clubhouse facilities, including the well known McNary Restaurant & Lounge, overlook the course. All the necessary amenities are available. The golf course features lush fairways, spacious greens, and hazards that provide a challenge for all golfers. Claggett Creek comes into play on holes 1, 9, 10, and 18. The challenge and beauty of the course has also been augmented with several small lakes with fountains.

Hidden Gem
First time playing here. Great course. I loved the layout, the carts have GPS, and it wasn't busy on a beautiful day. If I didn't live so far I would join their men's club and play there all the time. It is a hidden Gen!
Fairly easy course with poor drainage
Course was fairly easy and did not drain well , the second cut was a little too long, hard to find a ball that plugs and tall grass
Golf at McNary
My wife and I played 18 at McNary on Tuesday. Due to wet course conditions we were limited to cart path only.
Because of this, cart path only, our round took 4.75 hours. We had to wait a few times for those to finish up in front of us.
Our golf balls required cleaning after nearly every shot.
Amazing Conditions
Had an awesome outing for my first time (won’t be my last) at McNary GC. The course conditions were spectacular for this time of the year in the winter. Greens were rolling real quick and smooth and the fairways were in such great shape (no mud baths) we even got some rollouts on some drives. Got to love a nice clean fairway with decent drainage for winter season to where you can swing your irons with confidence. Not the most spectacular views on the course and it’s in the middle of a neighborhood with each hole being a little trek, but with conditions like these I will definitely return to play and add it to my rotation.
Super Bowl Sunday
Course was in great condition, excellent weather and few other golfers on Super Bowl Sunday. Would definitely recommend this course.

the guy ERK did not follow pandemic guidance and verbally forced two players to share a power cart, who were not from the same family and had separate cart booking.
Excellent course
The course was very good. The fairways neat, greens quite quick and awesome. Nice views.
Beautiful Day
Good course with lots of trees, stay accurate or scramble from behind them. I got paired with two regulars so some course knowledge helped with some shots.Some sneaky water hazards if you aren't checking the cart GPS. Cart GPS didn't track other carts, so tough to tell on some holes if it was safe to hit or not.
