McNary Golf Club
About
McNary Golf Club is located on the site that once was the homestead of Charles McNary (1874-1944), prominent Oregon Congressman, lawyer, and vice-presidential running mate of Wendell Willkie. Since he was an ardent golfer, it is appropriate that this course was named in his honor at its opening in 1962. The course was developed by Jim Sill who wanted to build an enjoyable course for the average golfer. Initially, the McNary home was used as the clubhouse. Today, modern clubhouse facilities, including the well known McNary Restaurant & Lounge, overlook the course. All the necessary amenities are available. The golf course features lush fairways, spacious greens, and hazards that provide a challenge for all golfers. Claggett Creek comes into play on holes 1, 9, 10, and 18. The challenge and beauty of the course has also been augmented with several small lakes with fountains.

RestaurantReviews
Greens were outstanding despite the unrepaired ball marks left by previous golfers. Fairways were very dry and hard despite evidence of watering. Overall a fun course to play.
Course in Great shape
Played out here on a very hot day, course is very green and watered. greens were very true and challenging. course pace was good,. I would definitely play here again.
No driving range!
The negativity of my review is entirely based on the lack of a driving range at this course. I had a lousy round because I couldn't groove my swing prior to going on the course. OK, I get they don't have room for a range, but they could put up a net that you could hit full swings into so your body is warmed up before teeing off.
Course was great. They had a tournament prior to our tee time and the restaurant and facilities were closed. That was a bummer.
Well maintained
Course was in great shape. Challenging pin positions and varied hole layouts keep you challenged but is fair test for all skill levels. Most all holes are lined with very nice houses but are not too encroaching on the course. Some holes have long distance between green to tee so a cart is recommended. I would play again.
Course condition was great!
Course condition was great, course was busy (as it would be on a warm sunny day in Oregon). Greens rolled great! Good job by all employees.
Greens are awesome....
The rest of the course not too bad.... very wet, lots of plugged balls. Larry is great in the pro shop!
Overpriced for what you don’t get
This course is not that nice, too wet for play and Basically has everything shut Down because of Covid.
Smooth but tough greens!
Solid course in good shape. Fairly flat course to walk, but long walk between holes.
Water in play most holes and course plays much longer than yardage! Pins were tucked on front/back/sides of greens, making chips and putts brutal (as they all rolled off if not great shots).
Poor job of wearing masks in pro shop. One of the employees behind couner kept takiing mask off. Another player walked right up to counter w/ no mask, and no enforcement by staff.
