About
Silver Lake Golf Course sits along Staten Island's North Shore, offering a scenic and challenging layout that is one of the five boroughs' best-kept secrets. The course has a classic layout with postage stamp-sized greens and narrow fairways. At just over 6,000 yards from the back tees, the golf course appears shorter than it plays. The tight layout demands accuracy throughout especially on the lengthier holes, of which there are several. The course offers interesting risk-reward opportunities and holes 12 through 14 are considered by locals the "Amen Corner" of the North. The entire layout will test your shot-making abilities. In addition to the challenging round, Silver Lake is known for having consistently excellent conditions with some of New York's best greens, which is why it has garnered a strong following among local players.

Great local course
Almost always guaranteed a tee time. However, on a occasion pace of play can be slow, but nothing out of the ordinary from most courses. However, fastest round of 18 was at this course in 2 hrs 45 min.
Had a great time but had a bad friend experience
My friend told us to push our tee time to 1pm as 1130 was too early for him. After 9 holes were having a fantastic time and we are tied! He then says oh crap i gotta go now my sis needs the car. He then proceeds to leave after just 9 holes and screws me! I still love him though! But kinda rude know? Please drop your comments below
Timing is everything.
If they would space out the tee times a few minutes there would now waiting.
Everything was outstanding, just wish there was was something done about, the extra twenty dollars for a cart , using military tee times, used to be included, I know the pandemic has a lot to do with it, but let’s take care of our veterans
Great Last Minut Course
Never packed during the week. Great place to play if you want a quick morning round. Short course, but narrow and tree lined.
Great Shape as always.
The course was in great shape. Tee boxes and greens all maintained well. Surprisingly quiet for a beautiful afternoon. Completed the round in less than 4 hours walking. Overall a great day.
Cart Fees
Played with son and both rode in “A” cart which cost 42$ for both players, that same single cart cost individual golfers 21$. This is excessive. The course is always well maintained compared to two other public options on the island. We enjoy layout and expect back 9 to slow down on usual spots but we were sent out with husband/wife push cart players who were nice people but SLOW since hubby played from tips and wife from forward tees. We realize neither one of us should be playing from tips so we always play from middle tee’s, wish others would realize their abilities and do the same!
