Silver Lake Golf Course
About
Silver Lake Golf Course sits along Staten Island's North Shore, offering a scenic and challenging layout that is one of the five boroughs' best-kept secrets. The course has a classic layout with postage stamp-sized greens and narrow fairways. At just over 6,000 yards from the back tees, the golf course appears shorter than it plays. The tight layout demands accuracy throughout especially on the lengthier holes, of which there are several. The course offers interesting risk-reward opportunities and holes 12 through 14 are considered by locals the "Amen Corner" of the North. The entire layout will test your shot-making abilities. In addition to the challenging round, Silver Lake is known for having consistently excellent conditions with some of New York's best greens, which is why it has garnered a strong following among local players.

Everything was outstanding, just wish there was was something done about, the extra twenty dollars for a cart , using military tee times, used to be included, I know the pandemic has a lot to do with it, but let’s take care of our veterans
Great Last Minut Course
Never packed during the week. Great place to play if you want a quick morning round. Short course, but narrow and tree lined.
Great Shape as always.
The course was in great shape. Tee boxes and greens all maintained well. Surprisingly quiet for a beautiful afternoon. Completed the round in less than 4 hours walking. Overall a great day.
Cart Fees
Played with son and both rode in “A” cart which cost 42$ for both players, that same single cart cost individual golfers 21$. This is excessive. The course is always well maintained compared to two other public options on the island. We enjoy layout and expect back 9 to slow down on usual spots but we were sent out with husband/wife push cart players who were nice people but SLOW since hubby played from tips and wife from forward tees. We realize neither one of us should be playing from tips so we always play from middle tee’s, wish others would realize their abilities and do the same!
DO NOT COME HERE
Not even worth a one star. Played the course many many times but today was a disastrous day. First of all, the pace of play is, of course, bad on a Saturday however it was worse today as I was expecting to finish my rounding in 6 hours. Theres no Marshall as one group holds four groups in a hole. To be honest, I am fine with the course being terribly slow however I lost a huge respect to one of the workers(one with tat). It was my fault that the cart got stuck in the mud however he did not even try listening to our story behind of how the cart got stuck in mud but rather blast his obscene word choice while I was out there having a good time and brought my dad for the first time after his retirement. This guy did not really had to speak in that way. Now lost one of loyal customer and would recommend this course to those want to get hit by golf balls from multiple directions and looking for a nice relaxing back massage on a cart path that messes your back up as well as your clubs, this is the perfect place.
Good for a city course
Somewhat challenging. Bad drainage after a heavy rain, a lot of mud and unseeded areas. Best of 3 public courses on Staten Island
good green condition
We played 18 Hole for 2.5hours.
Staff very kinds and nice.
"The Crib"
This is my home golf course , as I travel from Manhattan to S.I to get there , which requires a scenic ride on the ferry and quick bus trip . The course was in good condition , nearing perfection as the greens recover from recent air-aiding .(sp) . My game requires more practice so I can barely wait to return .
AND if you have time , have a meal at "The Veranda"
Tight fairways, good greens.
Got a nice price on Golf Now to walk 18 holes, but the reservation fee was as much as the round of golf.
Course was not too busy. Played with 2 other singles.
