Silver Lake Golf Course sits along Staten Island's North Shore, offering a scenic and challenging layout that is one of the five boroughs' best-kept secrets. The course has a classic layout with postage stamp-sized greens and narrow fairways. At just over 6,000 yards from the back tees, the golf course appears shorter than it plays. The tight layout demands accuracy throughout especially on the lengthier holes, of which there are several. The course offers interesting risk-reward opportunities and holes 12 through 14 are considered by locals the "Amen Corner" of the North. The entire layout will test your shot-making abilities. In addition to the challenging round, Silver Lake is known for having consistently excellent conditions with some of New York's best greens, which is why it has garnered a strong following among local players.

Good time
I think silver lake is the best course on the island . Doug does a great job keeping it maintained.
Oh Yeah !
Once again , I've had a great time at this hidden gem . Despite what may be perceived as a lack of length , the greens and pin placements offer great defense and challenge the skills of one and all ( I dare anyone to birdie #7 ) . I play during the week when pace of play moves smoothly . And after your round, tabulate your scorecard while enjoying a meal at The Veranda . The food is superb .

Great local course
Almost always guaranteed a tee time. However, on a occasion pace of play can be slow, but nothing out of the ordinary from most courses. However, fastest round of 18 was at this course in 2 hrs 45 min.
Had a great time but had a bad friend experience
My friend told us to push our tee time to 1pm as 1130 was too early for him. After 9 holes were having a fantastic time and we are tied! He then says oh crap i gotta go now my sis needs the car. He then proceeds to leave after just 9 holes and screws me! I still love him though! But kinda rude know? Please drop your comments below
Timing is everything.
If they would space out the tee times a few minutes there would now waiting.
