THIS COURSE WAS “ ROUGH”!
I played the course last week and this is what I came away with when I finished. When I checked out the course on the internet and saw the aerial view of the course I thought it would be forgiving course as it seemed to be wide open, with not a lot of trees. My tee shots are seldom straight and I figured I’d have an easy time coming back to the fairways if my tee shots strayed. Boy was I wrong! The course is 20% fairway and 80% rough. And the rough cut is THICK! Have not had a round that that I can remember. Some tee boxes are marked with granite hole markers. Some have a wooden sign. And on #14 there is nothing! Also, as someone who had never played the course before, I had no clue where I was going from one hole to the next. There were several cross unders where there were narrow tunnels that went under adjacent roads to get to the next hole but the signs were lacking. We came off of 16 and wound up next to the tee box for 13 because there was no sign pointing you back though a tunnel to get to 17. If you are a scratch golfer or carry a low handicap this course may be good for you. Especially if you can play links styled courses with high roughs. Otherwise, the course is really frustrating to play. Only thing I liked was that as a senior golfer, it was very affordable.
Well maintained and friendly staff
First time playing and overall a great experience. Course is very well kept and staff was friendly. Pace of play was fairly slow.
Great early season round
You could tell it was the first nice day of the Spring-it was crazy busy and play was slow. Course was in great shape, just need to fill those ball washers. I'll definitely go back this season.
Okay for March
Course was ok for March. Greens full but a little bumpy. Fairways starting to grow in. If they keep after it course could be pretty nice.
Fall golf
Great place to play for the money, course is in great condition especially for late fall/winter
Nice fall round
The course is in great condition for this time of year, and the greens were really nice. Wish there was still a little more food to be had as the season closes down, but the one guy at the counter accommodated us pretty well.
Overall course was in good shape for fall golf. Tee boxes could be cut a little shorter. Much better shape than it was in before Covid.
Fall Shape
Overall course was in good shape for fall golfing. Greens were recently punched so some putts didn't roll true.
Play Here
This is a fun place to play, especially for average golfers. Only issue is players are really bad about replacing divots and fixing ball marks.
pleasant, leisurely round
Weather was cool, but nice when sun was out. Course not crowded which made the round nice and leisureable. Quite pleasandt.
