I really enjoyed this course. The layout is fun, and the front 9 is interesting with a 3-5-3-5 lineup on 2-6. Some of the fairways are brown dry, same with the rough and sand traps. Could use some hydration and care, but in better condition than some of the others I've seen recently.

This course has really gone downhill. Fairways in poor shape. Greens won't hold a ball unless you hit it short and run it on. We had all played this course in the past years and were very disappointed with how it's gone downhill. On a positive note pace of play was great. Sunday and no-one on the course. That should tell you everything

WE MADE A TEE TIME FOR A RATE OF $30 PER GOLFER. WHEN WE ARRIVED THE COURSE REFUSED THE PRINT OUT OF THE RESERVATION AND WANTED TO CHARGE US FOR $45 PER GOLFER. NOT THE FIRST TIME WE HAVE HAD TROUBLES WITH THIS PRO SHOP. NO LONGER WILL TRY TO PLAY THE COURSE. MANY OTHER CHOICES IN THE AREA WITH BETTER RATES AND BETTER CONDITIONS.

I played here on a Monday afternoon with my wife and 4 year old son who we were just introducing to the game. The staff was friendly, the course was in good shape (not excellent), and the price matched the experience. The layout is not all that challenging so it is great for golfers looking for a fun and easy outing.

A little more crowded than I thought it would be for a Friday morning. But play was good < 4 hour round .

Positive experience for the cost. Overall good condition. Round played in less than 4 hours !

One issue was that when the tees were mowed on the back nine,they forgot to place the tee markers. Not a big deal just an oversight.

Greens had two cups and still bumpy which could of been explained at check in.

The course was in good shape, especially considering it was December. In typical Mayapple fashion we arrived at the first tee at exactly our tee time only to have groups right in front of us and behind. The front desk attendant came off as a pompous, arrogant, you think you're better than me vibe. My whole foursome made that comment. If I don't find a good deal in golf now, I don't play here.

requires good tee shots, stay off the banks, no trees, easy to walk, most greens are table top so come in high or chip it on. food is excellent. dress warm if windy.

good value and fun to play . my son goes to collage at messiah . nice place to meet and spend time together .

Course was in good shape considering the lack of rain except for the tee boxes. The tee boxes were burned out and where there was grass it wasn t level or cut. The course lacks variety somewhat but can be a good confidence booster if u struggled recently at a hard course(ahem iron valley). Will play again especially for 18 bucks on a weekend morn.

The greens are the strength of this otherwise very mundane layout. Last Friday I played a ballyhooed course where the greens don't hold a candle to the greens here. And our tee time was 2:20 PM following a large tournament in the morning.

We got a bargain rate from GolfNow by booking at the last minute. At that price I can recommend this course; otherwise there are better choices nearby.

The tees need to be sanded and watered. Fairways are also dry and firm.

We didn't eat at the course this time, but we have several times in the past. The food was always excellent.

Fun course to play, the narrow fairways make you hit the ball straighter or you're in the rough. I played a very good round at May Apple and will be sure to return.

Keep in mind this has been a dry summer. The tee boxes could use a little love. The fairways were hard but okay. The greens were in fine shape. The pro shop was friendly and check-in was easy. The bar was nice. Friendly service and very good food.

Aside from only seeing the drink cart girl once at the first tee box (2pm tee time) and most of the water coolers on the course being empty in 90 degree weather, it was a great time. Was not crowded and we had a beginner with us so we let a couple groups play through. Very pleasant people.

We thoroughly enjoyed our round. The course was not crowded so the pace of play was quite good.

Considering the crazy weather changes we've been having this year(2015). The course was in excellent condition, fairways were trimmed nicely and the greens were superb. Great golf course for your ametuer golfer, every hole is practically open and not a lot of hazards to mess with. I will be back again to get a couple of more rounds in.
