Mayapple Golf Links

This wonderful experience started off with a pleasant interaction with the man behind the pro shop desk. We were early, but no one was lined up to start, so he let us go right away. That's a BIG Thank You! The course was in OK shape despite the extreme hot weather we've been having, along with a lack of recent rain. The greens were in great shape. The fairways were mowed and in very playable condition. The only negative that I think could be easily improved upon, and I'm nit picking here, would be that the greens keeper could set the holes so that there isn't a raised lip around each hole. We experienced this on most of the holes. Overall, we has a great time at a great price point. Thanks!

The course does have a lot of houses on the front nine , but they do have a lot of tree cover to prevent a stray ball from getting through easily. The greens fees in range or slightly below what I have encountered at similar courses, I think this course is the best value in this area. The course has always been maintained well when I have played and I do play here a few times a month. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. The restaurant, Fiddler's is a must afterwards or any random day. My wife and kids enjoy going to the restaurant very much. I have always had enjoyed my visits to Mayapple.

Perfect weather, course was in good condition and I was playing well, but the pace of play was terrible. If we would not have forcibly played through the groups in front of us, it would have easily taken 5+ hours to play the round. If you are going to stack tee times every 10 mins, you need a marshal to force slow groups to speed up.

Nothing but long poana everywhere. Fairway poana longer than most second cuts.

Played today. Fairways not cut. Can’t discern the rough from the fairways. Neither have been cut this season. Greens and tees fine. Just seems they don’t have enough help to maintain the course.

Front nine has houses on many holes. Back nine more open.

Overall, this is a good place to play a round of golf. However, I only play here when I can get a hot deal. My best score here is an 86.

Early in the season. Fairways were shaggy. Greens putted true but we’re slowed from heavy rain. Pace of play was good, under four hours.

Have played Mayapple many times over the years. The course conditions disappointing today. Fairways and greens were not in the best condition as they have been in the past.

I’ve played this course many of times and as usual it was in great shape. I showed up 45 minutes early for my tee time and because it wasn’t busy I was able to go out earlier than expected. I played the round with a buddy of mine under 3 hours so the pace of play was excellent. Love the course and the staff was very friendly.

I have played at Mayapple Golf for years and this was the worst conditions that I have ever seen there. I understand that there has been a lot of rain in the area over the summer but these conditions are levels worse than any other places I have played in the area recently. It took me 10 minutes to find anyone in the clubhouse to check me in before my round.

Tee Boxes had patches of dirt where the grass was missing, not normally a problem in this area but it looks terrible. Fairways had patchy grass and lies in the fairway were some of the worst on the golf course. Rough was also very patchy but there were spots of really thick grass and an bare spot right next to it. Around the green had almost no grass in spots and it looks like they had aerated which was really strange because it was not just the fairways around the green but the rough about 10-15 yards off each green. The greens all had ball marks all over the place and were so bumpy in spots that you could only hope to keep your ball on line.

Pace of play was not bad on the front 9 as we played the first 6 holes in about an hour as a twosome. After that we were stuck behind a foursome of people and the final 12 hours took about 4 hours. The group behind us had called the pro shop at the turn and they sent a ranger out but the ranger did nothing and the pace stayed slow. I am considering ever going back there because it has gone down hill over the past 2 years and I could play much better courses around the area.

Course in terrible condition. Workers on course rude and won’t stop working to let you play through.

Was not worth the 43 dollars, on a weekend....no ranger keeping pace of play moving, no beverage cart, can't complain about conditions were great considering they had a foot of rain in the past week
