we had a 140 starting time and at 1:20 the pro shop sent 12 carts for an outing to the tee ahead of us and said we had to wait till they went. I said that’s crazy. We’re here for our time and then they were not going to help us so I went to number 10 and we started there on our own.
Ok course
Arrowhead is ok. Not great and not bad . You start off with 2 par 5’s to check your length. The weird thing was with the cart, if you want a front windshield, you have to rent one which I thought was strange. The snack bar at the tenth hole was closed . Again it is an ok course
Run Down
Course conditions are very poor. So many dead trees and limbs everywhere. Many damaged greens. The upkeep has just gone way downhill over the years. Used to be one of my favorite places to play but they need to put some money into the maintenance of the greens and fairways. Maybe some sand in the bunkers.
Never again
The course was in really rough shape. Most of the fairway played like dirt painted green. Greens were surprisingly okay compared to the rest of the course. The course booked 6 people for our tee time and ended up starting over 20 minutes late. Bagged the last 8 holes.
Bang for your buck
This is not Augusta. It’s not Merion. It’s not even Jeffersonville. What it is, is an unpretentious and fun set up. The clubhouse and proshop is a time capsule. Drop ceilings, wood paneling, and nice staff. It’s like walking back in time on the best way. The cart I had was electric and fast. The course was empty on an overcast April Sunday. I finished the first 18 playing alone in 2.5 hours. 2 groups let me play through. After that the pro shop lady told me their 9 hole course is free to walk if you played 19. I did that too. They say the other 9 is par 3 course but it has some par 4s and it’s a great irons only course. You have to walk that one.
The yardage at the 18 hole course is short but the set up plays longer than the yardage. There’s a 250 yard par 3, and holes 16/17 are short but SUPER tight. This is a great place to learn or challenge yourself if you need a round somewhere new. The greens are slow but it was April and wet so I assume they speed up in the winter. I paid 36 to ride 18 and walk 9, all in 4 hours. Can’t beat that.
Horrible condition
This is a $5 course. Avoid playing here when they jack it up to $50 during the summer
will never be a favorite course
There are some very unusual holes.....the greens were slow and many, many bad bare spots on the greens
I love Arrowhead!
The layout of this course is great. It so much fun to play. Conditions arent always the greatest but it is still a great course.
