Bang for your buck
This is not Augusta. It’s not Merion. It’s not even Jeffersonville. What it is, is an unpretentious and fun set up. The clubhouse and proshop is a time capsule. Drop ceilings, wood paneling, and nice staff. It’s like walking back in time on the best way. The cart I had was electric and fast. The course was empty on an overcast April Sunday. I finished the first 18 playing alone in 2.5 hours. 2 groups let me play through. After that the pro shop lady told me their 9 hole course is free to walk if you played 19. I did that too. They say the other 9 is par 3 course but it has some par 4s and it’s a great irons only course. You have to walk that one.
The yardage at the 18 hole course is short but the set up plays longer than the yardage. There’s a 250 yard par 3, and holes 16/17 are short but SUPER tight. This is a great place to learn or challenge yourself if you need a round somewhere new. The greens are slow but it was April and wet so I assume they speed up in the winter. I paid 36 to ride 18 and walk 9, all in 4 hours. Can’t beat that.
Horrible condition
This is a $5 course. Avoid playing here when they jack it up to $50 during the summer
will never be a favorite course
There are some very unusual holes.....the greens were slow and many, many bad bare spots on the greens
I love Arrowhead!
The layout of this course is great. It so much fun to play. Conditions arent always the greatest but it is still a great course.
Overall a very nice course
Very scenic and beautiful setting. Fairways and tee boxes can use some TLC but it has been very dry with no rain for over 2 months. Very friendly staff.
Reasonable Course
The pace of play was relatively very slow this time..not sure why since the packing lot was not that full.
Challenging Pace of Play
As usual, the staff was very friendly. Checking in was smooth and fast. I know the course very well and it played as always, good. But, the pace of play was horrible. Waiting around each time for several minutes to tee off threw my group completely of. We couldn't even play thru because there were many groups ahead waiting as well. Finally, just gave up and left.
