Pace of play.
I played the round in about 3 hrs. 15 minutes. The golfers ahead of me were moving fast.
I enjoy playing when the pace is not over 4 hours.
Keep on emphasizing pace of play.
comfortable round
course was in nice condition, seemed to play a little longer then card yardage. greens rolled well with small breaks which were a little tough to see, but that is the player. pretty straight away course, with no gimmick holes. nice pleasant course to work on your game.
Good Condition
Usually in very good condition, greens always smooth and puttable. On this day saw no less than eight workers, mowing, trimming general maintenance, etc.
Nice course, Annoying maintenance man
Course is nice for a average golfer. Seemed decently maintained for an inexpensive round. Biggest problem was a grounds keeper followed us on their riding mower for 3 holes and was cutting the putting green while putting.
Decent condition
Course was in decent shape considering the hot weather we had been having. Greens rolled true, tee boxes good.
Great Round of Golf
This is one of my favorite courses in the area because it's relatively wide open. Not much water to be concerned about. Only hole number 12 do trees make the fairway very narrow. I was only in one sand trap and barely got out but that could be a function of how deep it was and my lack of confidence playing out of traps.
The greens are firm and pretty fast. If you don't hit a solid shot into the green the shot may not hold. The greens have pretty good amount of break to them as well.
There are some shots that you need to consider using something other then a driver if you a fairly long hitter. The very first hole the little creek is reachable. Another par 5 is a big dog leg that you can hit through the fairway.
Playing as a single I was able to pass several 2 and 3 somes allowing me to play in less then 3 hours.
Even with a horrible blow up hole I had my best scoring round of the year and one of my best ever. I even almost holed a 125 yard pitching wedge on a par 4. The tap in birdie was still a very good way to finish my round.
Fun local course for a great price
Manada is a great course. I have been coming here for years and it seems that this year something has changed. The course is in significantly better shape than I recall in previous years.
Course conditions
They did a super job and getting the course into good shape this year last year the fairways were burnt out in many areas .
A good, inexpensive course
I have played Manada many times, and it's always a good time if you can get on for the right price. We managed to get a deal for $18 this time around, so there's little to complain about there.
The course was in good shape as usual. The bunkers were in good condition and the greens were pretty quick. There wasn't much about the course with regard to the "Wow" factor, but again, we only paid $18.
I would hesitate to drop more than $30 to play a round here, but rounds can usually be had through GolfNow for less than that.
Fine day of golf
Greens were cut well. A couple Fairways were a little long. Course was pretty full, but it was a holiday. Had fun, pretty nice course and a good value for the money.
Nice day on the course
Our 3some had a nice day on the course. We were paired up with a single Golf Now customer who was nice and a good player. The course played well but the greens were bumpy and we saw one worker rolling them but not until we were almost finishing. All in all we had a great day and will definitely play Manada again.
Great Course for your average duffer
The course was in great shape. Greens very fast., challenging and very consistent. First time at this course but will come back.
Pretty Good Course
This was a very good course. Very wide fairways and greens. Overall was good.
Due to time of year, course was in good shape.
Greens rolled very well and were fast but cups were in difficult places. If they want to keep "weekday" pace to a minimum, the flags need to be in manageable putting areas for faster play &
more satisfactory scores.
Great value, a good challenge.
Nice greens for a fall play, but keep it in the fairway to make sure the leaves don't hide your ball. I like the par-5's. Like most older courses, the cart paths will need work soon. I definitely enjoy this place.
Open Course great fairways
Employees were friendly and helpful, They were working on the Tee boxes and filling in bare spots all over. The greens were in good condition and well maintained. Occasional deer coming out on the fairways make this a real joy to play.
Nicely kept course with pretty tough greens.
The course is in great shape. There are many trees throughout the course that cause problems if you're not a straight hitter. I found the course challenging, especially the greens. But I'll definitely play the course again.
Some positive, more negatives
Recently decided to play Manada for the first time in several years after hearing some coworkers say some nice things. I am not sure what it was they were looking at though. Two or three fairways are just swaths of dirt between two sides of rough, most of the greens are pathetically maintained, and the sand traps are filled with fine gravel. The proshop staff and starter seemed friendly and knowledgeable, but the rest of the staff seemed irritated that I was even there. No small talk, dismissive if they deemed your question trivial, and just all around unpleasant to be around. The round was slow, as expected for a Saturday afternoon, but 5 hours is a bit ridiculous. In my opinion the starter needs to take occasional rides around the course to give friendly reminders to slow groups to pick up the pace a bit. "While we're young," right?
Overall, it was bad enough of an experience to cross it off my list of local courses. It takes a lot for me to not enjoy playing golf, but they succeeded.
A nice course, maintained well, which plays at a low to moderate difficulty level.
Greens and tee boxes are in excellent condition. Two fairways are under repair due to sun damage, but are playable. The remaining fairways are in good to excellent condition. The greens, fairways, bunkers, and rough are well manicured. This course has a friendly and helpful staff, was a pleasure to play, at a great value through GolfNow.
