Great course, beautifully maintained, tough but fair. Fantastic, friendly staff who really make you feel welcome. Will be back.
Family day
I played the course for the first time with two of my sons. The course is in excellent condition except for the sand traps which need a lot of work. The layout has plenty of challenges. Greens can be tricky. Staff was extremely friendly. It was a rainy week day so we had the course to our selves. Overall a wet but enjoyable day
Fast round on a Monday afternoon
Booked a last min round on Monday afternoon: course was empty and finished 18 in about 3h 15m. Tees: pretty good shape, but likely we’re still where they were all weekend, showing a fair amount of divots, esp where irons would be used. Fairways (the few I played from lol) we’re in great shape, generally. Only a few soft/marshy spots. Roughs: varied. Where sunny, good grass growth and well kept; under trees, bare and dirt/rocks. Greens: tricky. Started very slow and got faster as the round went. Several un-repaired ball marks (cmon folks, takes two min), but also noticed many un-repaired deer tracks. And the deer and fawns to go with them! Cannot fault the course for deer tracks on the green, naturally!! Bunkers - another matter: concrete, or worse, puddles. They should have been machine raked by this time after the last major storm, so this was a disappointment, but all in all, still 4/5 stars from me.
First time playing Paupack Hills, great experience!
Myself and two of my friends decided to play 18 holes at Paupack Hills and were pleasantly surprised with the course. We got the opening tee time for the morning and enjoyed a great day of golf. The weather was great and we had a great time playing the whole course. My only gripe was the prevalence of rocky ground near the course which added some unpredictable bounces to our game and the "clubhouse" was just a trailer in the middle of the course. Other than those two, we loved the course and will definitely be back!
Not worth the time or $
After reading good reviews of the course, I decided to make the hour drive to play this course. I was disappointed. It is hard to believe this is a Tom Fazio course. There isn't a clubhouse, just a trailer. There isn't a practice range and I dint think there was a practice green. No on-course ranger/marshall to monitor play pace. The course was in average condition. Play was slow because a group of 5 or 6 was in front of me and my group. We notified the cart girl and asked her to tell the pro shop so someone could talk them. It never happened. I waited 20 minutes on the 10th tee and 10 to 15 minutes on other tees wasn't unusual. I would not play here again.
Great Course - Usually
I live 5 min away and play frequently. They are striving and succeeding at rehabbing and attracting play. That may be why they overbook and allow late arrivals to totally screw up pace of play. Quit after 14 holes and 4 hours. Waited every hole on back. Multiple groups on tees remaining including three twosomes - twosomes on busy Saturdays gotta get matched up.
Awesome Spot.
Course was in great shape. Staff was awesome. I took my young son out with me and the staff made us feel so welcomed.
Course was in great shape
Not many golfers on the course so played a quick round. Course was in great shape. They have not rebuilt clubhouse from the fire but the temporary facilities were fine.
Poorly run, but good course
We showed up pro shop is closed, got the cart keys from a girl behind the bar. No starter. No one to explain anything. pro shop is in a trailer. No one even talk to us before our round and then on the 11th hole someone driving a minivan ran out onto the fairway and told us it was cartpath only wearing no uniform, but claiming to be the manager of the course. Extremely rude and tone of voice was aggressive and argumentative.

We are sorry you jad a poor experience with our staff. Our Pro Shop is currently run out of a trailer due to a 6 alarm fire in our Clubhouse in January of 2022. We are also running on short staff since that very same fire.
That said, it is common for play to be sent out from our Bar/Restaurant. Especially later in the afternoon.
Our cart path rules are clearly posted daily on hole #1 and hole #10.
The gentleman in the SUV was the Superintendent of the course and he is the one who clearly posts those cart rules. He is also the one who keeps this course looking amazing. So please excuse his plea to you as a respectable golfer to honor our Cart Path Rules. We hope to see you again and have a better experience. Thank you for playing.
