Extremely Disappointing, Not Worth It.
Incredibly disappointing. The tee boxes, fairways, and greens are all so poorly maintained that it’s barely worth playing. It’s only April and the tee boxes are already completely chewed up. The fairways are loaded with divots. The greens have so many pitch marks on them that you can’t find a clean putting line to save your life. A local guy I was paired with said that people don’t fix divots or pitch marks there. Apparently the greenskeepers don’t bother doing it, either. The bunkers were in pretty decent shape and the course has the potential to be pretty nice, but there’s zero emphasis placed on course maintenance. They also jammed tee times together and stuck random singles in between groups, so things were ridiculously backed up. I paid for a range bucket and the machine told me that my code had already been used 5 minutes prior to when I purchased the bucket. The golf carts are old and barely make it up some of the hills on the course, even when you’re on the path. The tee time was cheap, but I wouldn’t waste my time or money going back. I realize that I’m biased because I’m from the Philly area where we are spoiled for well maintained public courses, but there’s no excuse for this course to be this poor. The only thing that earned a second star was the course layout. The layouts of the holes were fun and decently challenging. Bunker placement forced me to play strategically and not just blindly smack drives down the fairway. Elevation changes also made some of the holes more interesting. If you don’t place a premium on course quality and just want to get out and play, then by all means this will be fine. However, if you keep a handicap and want to play a course that is maintained the way a course reasonably should be, don’t waste your time and money. I shudder to think what this course will look like in another month or two if it’s this bad now. Shame on the maintenance staff and the superintendent for allowing it to get this bad. Google maps won’t let me review the course and the most recent review is 5 months old. There’s clearly an effort to avoid negative reviews here, so be wary of this course.
This course used to be very good (excellent). On this day, its green was very slow; and fair way needs to be repaired.
Decent but not great
Greens not cut. Payed $26, so can’t be too mad about it. Would pay $27 to play again considering it’s March golf.
Excellent course for the money.
Excellent course for the money. Weekday pace of play was fast. Finished 18 holes in 2.5 hours.
Excellent course for the money!
Club house folks were very friendly and accommodating.
Great course layout. The course and greens were in good shape considering the time of year and just coming out of winter.
Pace of play was a bit slow due to 2 walkers out of foursome who slowed the game a bit.
Decent Course
No bathrooms along the course, only at the 1st/10th hole. Very hard for a female when there are no bathrooms. Group of two sandwiched in between groups of four, the group ahead was terribly slow which led to a very long 18 with no bathroom options…you get the point. Hoping that is due to the time of season, but we shall see. Nice course, front 9 are fun and back 9 are challenging. Course is well kept.
Great course, will play again
First time out, great layout and conditions. I hope to get out again next year at least once.
When you think $39 is a good deal....
Tee boxes were in rough shape. As were the greens. Fairways looked good. LOTS OF SAND EVERYWHERE.
Rude staff ruins a decent course
The course itself has a nice layout and was kept well for a public course. Unfortunately, the staff was EXTREMELY rude start to finish. One bad employee can be tolerated, but when the whole team is rude to multiple people in front of various customers, then there is a systemic issue and customers are not treated well. I would not recommend this course purely due to that aspect. It ruined an otherwise nice outing with friends.
Nice layout
Really nice 17 hole course. One hole is a kind of goofy par 5. I mean once you learn how to play it, fine, but not a very good hole design. However some things in course design that lead to certain holes not being so good are dictated by the property. The other 17 holes are a nice mix with the possible exception of two similar par 3 holes on the back nine that elicit the comment, "Didn't we just play this hole." Overall I recommend it and it was a enjoyable round.
