Pace of play
The pace of play is terrible and the Marshall never monitors it. We love the course but they need to send groups out in 12 minutes instead of 7 or 8 minutes. Also the cart girl needs to cover more of the course. It took 5 1/2 hours to play and we saw her twice. On number 1 and on number 10?
Fun
Had a great time playing this course for the second time. They don’t have a dressing room, just a bathroom next to the bar so it was difficult changing into my golf gear after work but beautiful and fun course.
Not worth it
$65 for a round at 10AM on a Saturday morning. Thought it was a bit pricey but figured the course would be worth it. Not even close. Fairways were nice, but tee boxes and greens were pretty chewed up. Wont be going back, especially for that price. Been on nicer courses with the same tee time for $45.

Dauphin Highlands 5 18 21
Course was good. Longest round of golf I have played in long time. Course was overbooked!

One of the best public courses around
I’d never played Dauphin Highlands until about a year ago and didn’t realize what I was missing. This course is an extremely challenging but fair test of golf. It is in great condition and the layout rivals the best courses in the area, public or private. The par 3s present an especially stern challenge, with the first of them (#4) marking the beginning of where this course really distinguishes itself. The fast, firm greens get a lot of play but people repair their ballmarks.
Complaints about pace of play appear frequently in other reviews, and I believe this is due to the significant challenge this course presents. If you want to get around in four hours, I recommend teeing off early. We teed off at 9 the first time I played and our round took 4:45. For our most recent round we teed off at 7:20 and our round took 4:10.
Play This Course.
If you're visiting Harrisburg and wondering where to play,Dauphin Highlands is your answer. The course is challenging yet very playable. There are two tough par 5s and plenty of other challenges. Book Dauphins Highlands for an enjoyable day.

Pace of play
Beautiful and well maintained course but I will not be returning anytime soon. I understand most golf courses are extremely busy and are trying to get as much revenue as possible but today was way over booked . We had a 1:36 tee time, we teed off around 1:45 and we waited on EVERY tee box and waited on EVERY shot. The round lasted 5 hours and 28 minutes. Not once did we see a ranger or anyone help control the pace of play. Once again I certainly have no intentions to bash this course but they really need to get a grip on the pace of play.

Very slow round
Nice course for the money but 5 and a half hours to play a simple course is not a good pace. They just over book.
