The undulations on #13 green! Photo submitted by rpkelly55 on 07/19/2018
Excellent conditions
Course was in great shape overall not one complaint, greens were fast and very challenging! Had a great day with 3 buddies of mine.
Really the biggest minus is you cannot hit woods on the range. Also the greens weren't in great shape. They still have not recovered from aeration, and the other a holes that play this Course can't fix their ball marks.
Course is great. People are great. My only issue is that they always seem to cut the cups on the sides of hills. This has been my experience many times over several years. It’s the only place I feel like whoever cuts the cups wants you to fail. I play the course well but 3 putts kill me and make the round less enjoyable.
Beautiful Course
The course was recently aerated and yet still played very well. Not too wet anywhere, and not too dry anywhere. Challenging and exciting, shots need to be aimed to a place, yet one can recover from bad shots. We had a great round, and I would take people here to impress them with a good round.
Much better than other courses I have played for similar price in similar area.
Good Open Course.
The course is very open. Not too many holes where the fairway is tight. The greens were airaited so they were hard to read but overall it’s a easy course. If your a good golfer and looking for a challenge go somewhere else. Otherwise the course was nice and the conditions except for the greens were good. The pro shop was very good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Amazing Staff! Definitely a easier course if you are a experienced golfer but otherwise a good course overall.
Good value , good course
Very nice layout. Tough greens but in very good shape. Worth playing , variety of hole designs make it challenging.
Enjoyable winter day
With a warm and pleasant day present from the norm of cold and rain, it was a surprising pleasure to play on New Years Day. The greens were in great shape and challenging. The fairways had some wet areas but not interfering with the play when keeping the ball in the fairway. All tee boxes were accessible and maintained. The maintenance staff is credited for providing me with this enjoyable day of golf
Great course to play
Me and my friends play first time at The Bucks Club it was great experience and I’d like to come back soon. The Course design and condition is very good also staff are friendly.
Awesome coursew
The course, staff, and restaurant were absolutely top notch. Only negative was for us it was a 4:45 minutes round. A little crowded but with a course this nice guess it’s to be expected. We are just used to playing in 3-3 1/2 hours. Will definitely be back.
Haven't played here for over 20 years.
Haven't played here for over 20 years, due to circumstances. Course was in very good shape considering all the rain we have had. Course was cart part only but that was expected. Even with cart path only round only took a little over 3 1/2 hours. Would play here again.
Great course.
Heavy rain yesterday. You wouldn’t have known it other than a few soggy spots. Staff was great. From the pro shop to the marshals to the bartender who gives you a bucket of ice with your beers(great touch). Can’t say enough about the conditions. A+ from tee boxes to fairways to greens. Traps also in great shape. Definitely a go to for me.
Long time
It's been years since I played there. It used to be a good course but since it was chopped up for houses the replacement 5 holes ruined a nice layout and a good walking course. That said I played those replacement holes in two over. I thought the $45 fee was a bit high considering there would be less than 4 hours of daylight when we teed off at 3:45. Pace of play was good but it was later and very few people on the course after we played through a foursome (who might not have made it in before dark). There are a couple of long over 400 yard par 4 holes from white tees that didn't fit the total white yardage of 5994 par 70 test.
Good Value Good Conditions
I played a Friday twilight round with my son. We teed off at 4:00 and zipped around the course in 3 hours and 15 minutes. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. There was a family teeing off as we got there. Husband, Wife and two young children. The ranger and starter took us to the second tee to save a lot of aggravation for all.
Tee boxes fairways and greens were in the best shape I've experienced in years. I typically only play The Bucks club a couple times a year because I prefer to walk and the back side has some really long distances between holes 11 -12, 14 -15 and 16 -17. It's like walking another hole each time. The course was re-routed a while back to accommodate a Toll Bros.development. It was a change for the worse. Every hole on the back side had changes or is an entirely new hole. The new holes 12-16 don't fit in with the rest of the course. Blind shots and tricked up greens. The 13th is a 220 yard par 3 over a ravine with an elephant burial ground for a green. Hitting this green is challenge enough at that distance but if you do hit it, par is far from guaranteed.
As I mentioned above the course was in great shape. Fairways were very lush and full. The greens rolled smooth and the tee boxes were all in nice shape. This course has always had problems with its bunkers and this day was no exception. We had a good amount of rain a few days before we played and some of the bunkers still had water in them. There are also a good amount of stones in some of the bunkers and some needed more sand. Inconsistent best describes them.
All in all though, a good experience and conditions were good to excellent.
Course played well
All greens were in great shape except number 4. (Temp green bc of water) other than that great course in great shape. I enjoyed it very much. Especially since we had the hot deal for $26.00
Great time
Had a nice day for Golf and a nice meal afterwords.
I would recommend this course to anyone.
